I want to be able to buy an entire book just filled with character drawings and paintings by class and species, maps, rooms, caves, scenery, monsters, and have all of it done by various real artists and no A.I. Just a giant smorgasborg of real art to bring our adventure to life and to give me new ideas.
1. In Tooltips on character sheet when hovering mouse over modifier, include the calculation modifier (ie. show how the to-hit, damage, etc modifiers are aggregated). Helps people learn the game, plus allows for debugging of homebrew items.
2. In VTT - give DM ability to control (zoom/center) the player screen -- not giving the DM full control if players still want to look around, but at least letting me say "OK, here's where you are" and to pull everyone in to a specific spot. For me, I'm running a simple tabletop screen on an extended desktop, so none of my players can control the screen, so I have to stand up, break narrative and mouse around to zoom their screen.
3. Updated encounter builder - there are times when it's not on a map, but now I've gotta BS a map to run an encounter (or use the old one)
Also 4. In VTT - many adventures include modules with grid scales other than 5 ft. Would be nice if the maps could be overlaid with a 5ft grid
I need a more helpful search engine. I didn't know anything about 'Drowning'. I used the search up top and got a plethora of links from every book that had the word, but nothing about how it happens. Luckily, I pulled out my PHB printed in 2014 and looked it up. It is not there either. Then, a thought made me look up 'Hold Breath', where it says 'See Suffocating'. Found it. It would have been so much easier if your search engine didn't have to be so verbatim with the books.
À la carte is so missed by everyone. You say you want to help DMs, most of us already have the books or most content in one way or another. Being able to provide what individuals players need for their characters is sometime the difference between them using dnd beyond or not.
Also, having other languages for dnd beyond. Seems like it should have been done years ago.
Yeah I'm missing the ability to buy pieces of books via ala-carte. As it's been said I don't need most of the stuff. We don't even know why it was removed,as it's been radio silence since it was removed.

They mentioned in a reddit AMA recently that it was due to performance issues with having to check increasingly large and complex sets of licenses every time the character builder needed to show lists of things people might or might not have access to.
I honestly haven't missed the A La Carte itself, but I do miss being able to see the additional contents of a book, without opening the phone app. Does it really have 300 monsters, or 200 NPCs and 100 monsters that are 3 reflavours of one MM monster each.

The ability to sort or separate characters into folders.
