Is there any plans to add a landscape view similar to the website's landscape view? I.e., a 'full spread' of your character sheet with the window to cycle between Actions, Spells, Features, etc.?
I find this view much more useful than the portrait mode of only displaying like, Abilities, then Skills, then Actions at a time.
Unfortunately, this would be a really big deal of work. But once we deliver the most burning pieces of the sheet to keep more parity, we take a look at how to better utilise wider screens on tablets. Can't promise anything but it is on the agenda.
Count me in as another vote for full layout landscape (on tablets at least).
I’d like to add that this feature, the full layout in landscape is essential (right after getting the full functionality as is listed in the development post). Not only does it share the feel of paper sheets more, full layout is by far better for new players, as the page-by-page model puts everything in this fairly complex game behind one more layer of clicks (every time you do something). The spatial memory nature of knowing “where to look on the page” is important not only for quicker responses and easier teaching while using the app during play, but also when learning how to build a character because most online examples use a character sheet that looks like full layout view on DnD Beyond, not the page-by-page phone view (which is great, but still more cognitively heavy, once you’re fully confident with the game).
All that said, the app seems like a solid beginning. I’m very glad that it exists, and I’m looking forward to what comes next for it.
I'll second that it's an important feature. On my iPad Pro 11 inch, I can load the full sheet in landscape on my browser, yet somehow can't on the app. I don't mean to dismiss the hard work put into the app or sound entitled, but that for me is an instant "stick to the browser and never use the app" kind of deal. because scrolling through pages/tabs on the sheet is so much more time consuming and unintuitive.
I like the color scheme of the app, but if the only use case is rolling dice and looking at it while being otherwise redirected to the website for further stuff like character editing - the app serves no real purpose for me. A landscape view would sure be nice though, as their are always some nice landscape sheets you can find on the net which i wish dndbeyond could look like :D
All these voices are noted but I just need to make you aware that such a change would require rebuilding the entire UI and would be a major effort and it's unlikely at this point due to all the features we are working on now.
Still, we are monitoring your feedback and can speed it up at some point.

Awesome! Not the news I wanted to hear, but I absolutely appreciate the update and transparency. Thank you!
Thank you!

Any word on if we’re closer to this being incorporated, with the unified compendium app?
I couldn’t agree more. The new app is great, but basically unusable for me because I’ll always go to that much better landscape view on the web.
I’m hoping it’s in the works. If not, I’ll just keep using the web for now.
