I'm looking to make Vergil, Dante's brother from the Devil May Cry series. I am curious as to people's thoughts on how to build him in a more melee focus with touches of magic to amplify his combat prowess. Also, ideas for a Devil Trigger since that's a staple with him and Dante? I thank you for your time and thoughts, can't wait to hear your ideas!
The too lazy to watch of it is: Race: Assimar (Fallen), Background: Athlete, Class: Warlock (Hexblade, Pact of Chain) multiclass Bard (College of Swords)

There's actually a dndgame made into a stream/podcast set in the DMC Universe, called Devils Might Surrender. It's by Nat19, and it does have mechanics for Devil Trigger. I recommend giving it a listen/stream if you want info. They also released their game rules for it too.
