I like creating characters in the background so I have a nice log of characters to flip through whenever I start a new campaign or a character dies and felt like adding to it recently. But I want to create some characters who completely have opposite class and race and morals and such (eg. a noble who comes from a race of hermits/etc). I was wondering if anyone had some wacky ideas for anything that would make such a weirdly complex character that would be hard to play as because the morals are always conflicting; looking to add some complex characters to my repertoire, or any at all ideas at all for any super fun combos to mess around with as well!
I'm usually a wizard or warlock so would like to have a look at the other spellcasters of the game and slowly ease myself out my comfort area as well, if that helps at all.
A strength-based tortle bladesinger with the Tavern Brawler feat. The bladesinger is all about grace, beauty, and finesse. What better is there to pair it with, than a hulking turtle-man who hits people with a chair?
Coincidentally, I have Cleric that I'm playing that's fairly equivalent. He's a dragonborn with a really nasty temper, and when someone pushes him too hard, they tend to get incinerated. Not the usual trait you associate with a Cleric, but he's got some interesting quirks.

I've always thought that an aasimar fiend warlock would be an interesting concept. Given the power of the Upper Planes at birth, but bargained for power from the Lower Planes.
Could also work in reverse with a tiefling celestial warlock.

I'd never have thought of this to be honest and my mind is racing with ideas as to why the character(s) would do these and I love them. Thanks, I'll give making these a go; very interesting concepts and character development there

This sounds really interesting and I adore this character design, honestly. I've not heard of any other Clerics like this before, and not even thought of it myself, this is super cool
A Paladin with the Criminal background. He was a thief that had a "come-to-gods" moment in prison and turned his life around.
He still struggles not to steal shiny things, and has to make a roll against the value of things to maintain his oath. This would be a Dex based Paladin wearing, at best, Medium Armor to reflect the thief he used to be. Maybe even multiclass it with Rogue if you want to go that route.
Oh man, I love this. I really want to use this as a secondary character for my current campaign if my MC dies. This is a really cool concept, thank you!

I absolutely adore this idea; thank you so much. I'll play around with this for sure
