My friend has shared all of his content with some of us for a campaign, but when we go into create a character, even though we can see the content available but the content is not available to use for character creation options, other than what I already own on my account. Any advice on what to do.

Does someone in the campaign have a master tier subscription?

Are you making the character in the campaign?

And make sure content sharing is turned on too!

If all of the above is true. Ask the friend to turn content sharing off then back on.

I have a master subscription. I'm starting a campaign. I have content sharing turned on.  Yesterday my Joined my campaign from the link I shared her. She has only the free access to D&D Beyond.  When she created a Sorcerer character in my campaign, she didn't have all the race options that I have available and she only had the SRD Sorcerous Origin available.  

That was a day ago. Today, I disabled sharing and re-enabled it. Now she has everything.  So is that the fix or did it start working because we gave it a day?

The go-to fix is usually disabling and re-enabling content sharing.

If that does not work, also try resyncing entitlements.
