Not so much from this particular release, but from "Rime of the Frostmaiden":
The prison guards of Revel's End are provided with standard-issue equipment, with the bludgeoning sticks (or truncheons) being the primary weapon to quell unruly prisoners.
Any other weapons are kept under guard by that Gazer...so I'd say that any outside weapons get submitted to processing and are kept in that area.
Should some sneaks try to smuggle weapons inside the prison, they would likely have to hide them in some manner...which can be fun to figure out.
I'm going with no weapons or gear at all. Makes players find a safe place to stash their stuff, or have the 'danger' of bringing all their cool stuff with them and have it processed and kept in a locker somewhere in Revel's End. Might be a little weird for some lowly guards and cooks to have a bunch of magic in their stash....
I’ve read it, but I haven’t run it yet. I would think that the guards would not allow visitors to bring weapons into the prison unless they were disguised as guards themselves. But there’s no reason PCs couldn’t smuggle some weapons in if they used magic or a disguise (maybe like hidden in their clothes or something).

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft, Exandria and the Upside Down from Stranger Things. My pronouns are she/they (genderfae).

Did/were you allowed to bring weapons on the ship to the prison? I know that armors are given.
