I am wondering the same thing, man. I've been waiting for a release date or more information about the book, though they don't talk about it that much.
We better get a information or release in May. I hoping for more news at the end of April, but I don't know if that will come.
May is not Q3. We're probably talking an early July release if they want to space the quarter out with the Phandelven book, but back to back releases aren't totally unheard of. Since the Summit revealed the Planescape book is following the same format as Spelljammer (meaning, you're paying for three hardcover bindings and a slipcase, but you're getting a page count amounting to at best that of a regular hardback) I don't feel lessons have been learned there, so I'm only really curious about this book and the Deck of Many Things book or product (the Deck would be a really cool concept through which to explore a truly non traditional product compared to the rest of the 5e product line).

Since it's been delayed, I imagine they're just going to release once ready. They can't release earlier (obviously) and later screws the schedule, so they'll just release ASAP - they're no longer timing it with relation to Phandelver.

Man, that sucks. It's possible that they were too far along the design process to alter course, but hopefully they'll at least have learned to bump the quality of what is there. I'm hoping that this isn't going to turn into one of those "we WILL make this work" mantras. I don't mind the three book format, just make sure it covers enough material to warrant the price and do a decent job.

It was originally slated for a Spring 2023 release, but has now been pushed out to sometime in Q3 (so anywhere between July and September). I'm guessing we'll have an official release date announcement in the next month or so (which is what happened with Keys from the Golden Vault before its release, with users first spotting it for pre-order on Amazon a few months before it came out). My money is on early July as the launch date.
One possibility for the delay could be that they are incorporating the Goliath Lineages from the Cleric and Revised Species UA into the book, didn't they have to extend the survey on that one.

Doubtful, since that was for 1D&D. It's extremely unlikely that we're going to see any UA incorporated into the book beyond the giant-themed stuff from last year.
Also, I wouldn't anticipate the book being released before September, late August at the earliest: most companies seem to want to hold off on such releases until after GenCon.

Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.
WotC might have added it to the document to increase feedback, since Bigby's is to be considered to be comparable to Fizban's they might have decided to throw some racial options in there in addition to the new subclasses.
I hope we get Runecraft Wizard and Giant Barbarian, I like those classes! It was sad to see them become feats, but I do say that I like the Runecraft feats that they made.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Goliath in Bigby's just as I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the 1 D&D content actually showing up in Planescape. Everything is arguably a bridge product going forward.
They also got two books now for Q3 and I think their preference will be to give them both space, also while GenCon is important to some publishers, it hasn't been to WotC in recent years, usually setting up their own promotional events etc. rather than even showing up at GenCon (though, they've said they're going to try to do better and show up at more Cons than they have as of late).
Honestly given the focus on the Phandelver and Below during the last direct I wouldn't be surprised if they swap release dates and put it out before Bigby's.
I'm a little concerned about the content ... will it be unique content? Or just a mish-mash of content from other books?
I was upset when I bought both Volo's Guide to Monsters and Monsters of the Multiverse, since they share ALOT of the SAME content (90% of the monsters were the same). I felt ripped off. It seemed like it was a cash-grab by WotC. As much as I want to see the Giants, I wont be preordering ... I want to check out the content first...

While I think not preordering and waiting to see if the book is any good is perfectly sound logic, the VGtM and MMM situation isn't the best precedent. It never took much detective work to know, in fact it was explicitly stated so in the run up to the book, that MMM would be updating the contents of VGtM and MToF. There was only one actually new monster in the entire book.
The precedent for Bigby's Glory of the Giants is Fizban's Treasury of Dragons. Will the giants in the MMM be discussed? Sure, just like the metalic/chromatic giants were discussed in Fizbans. Will there also be new monsters, yes? Just like in Fizbans. The book claims 70+ new monsters. Like in Fizban's some of those will likely be variants of existing Giants (like the Great Wyrms, and each age of a gemstone dragon counting as a monster) so we're talking 70+ new stat blocks if we want to be pedantic. Only disappointment I'm seeing is that it looks like we're just getting one Barbarian subclass, breaking from the usual 2+ subclasses. Otherwise, the book seems structured like Fizban's with it's lore, deep dive into personalities of giants, lairs and adventure hooks etc.
I'm curious about this book, but post-Spelljammer I just don't pre-order books anymore. I used to pre-order the retailer incentive cover at my FLGS, I can't tell if they're doing on for this yet, but after Strixhaven, stores tell me in general those and new D&D books don't fly off the shelves like they used to. They still sell well compared to other games, but the rush at drop date just isn't there as folks wait for actual non-hype reviews, etc.

MotM was always intended to be both Volo's and MToF rolled into one. BGoG is not, so far as I'm aware, meant to be a redo of anything. If it is, then it'll be from a previous edition, because there is nothing (from WotC) like it in 5e for it to rehash.

Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants
when will this be available for purchase, and preorder???
No news recently, and this is supposed to be SOON... if it doesnt get delayed.
~Mad
It was already delayed - Q3 2023 now.
Source: D&D Direct
So still no date, and now it is moved from Q2 to Q3???
Correct on both counts

What really? Aw man, I was really hoping for it to be released in May because that is my birthday month.

Release date is Aug 15 according to one of the distribution websites.

It looks like there'll be one subclass in there... but the UA had three 😢 where's my dino druid and rune wizard?
