I was listening to a CR podcast and it got me to thinking about traps, sigils, and disarming them; I know layering a trap on top of a trap is a thing, but I have never come across whether or not it would be feasible to layer them in a way that triggers the second if Dispel magic is used or if the sigil could b set trigger if that spell is used.

a squiggle of waxed thread is revealed to be a continuous cursive line of glyphs crossing the tunnel floor. if it's perceived before it's tripped, investigation indicates that crossing the line while carrying a magic item or ongoing spell (like Light cantrip) would be enough to power the triggering mechanism. a magic trap. detect magic would indicate it as a transmutation spell. an arcana check would clarify that destroying the glyph would be the same as triggering it to release it's stored attack, unless it were dispelled.
"the floor, no longer frozen into a stiff surface by the magic of the glyph, immediately..." [rolls a mysterious CON save] "...flops limply into a pit. everyone standing on the first three squares before the glyphs begin to fall as well. please make a dex save..."
"ugh! tricked! so, what would have happened if someone carrying all our magic items came last and jumped past the glyph?"
"depending on how it went, you might not have found out if you were quick. not unless you dawdled there or returned by this path later. however, just then the rug of smothering lying with you at the bottom of the pit shakes off the stun it received from dispel magic..."
Could a PC do it? Not so much, unless their Dm was feeling generous.

If you're the DM traps work however you say they do.

"oh, then i cast dispel magic."

unhappy at the way in which we lost individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
tell them you don't like features disappeared quietly in the night: provide feedback!
IN short, the answer is yes.
