The whole thing sucks, but it is totally unacceptable to re-charge for stuff you already purchased. I bought some monsters from Storm kings thunder, if want to buy the rest of the book I will be recharged for the monsters, how is this cool at all?? scummy move.
Seems like a completely new marketplace interface entirely, without any announcement whatsoever... Very strange
Edit: There is no longer a discount off the complete product for what is already owned!!!!
I find it interesting that wotc gaver zero heads-up on this.
You must be new here (assuming your join date is accurate). Communication is not WotC's strong suit. I would have been only less surprised by an unannounced change if it happened to have been casually mentioned from a random employee on a personal social media post by accident because they just assumed it was already announced on some outlet that almost nobody ready or knows about.
This is a major change though. This is not trivial. It not being announced is indeed strange, even for WotC
I didn't say it was trivial. I'm just saying that it is not surprising.
How about the fact they no longer seem to have record of the details of any given order I have made before the 24th of this month? They have a record of the order numbers and amounts, but clicking the view link to see the details goes to an error page.
The new store is very pretty, but is not art.
Also unsurprising as moving from one purchasing platform to another may not have kept some previous data or that data has not yet been loaded in since the switch. You're asking a lot from a company that has traditionally been terrible at any digital roll-out for anything.
In which case it would make sense to make a big "Hey, this is a bug and will be soon fixed! We're aware and are working on it!" post. So hopefully that's the case.

Tested that. Worked for showing a purchase I made back in November. But I also don't have a large purchase history, so not sure how it's working for others.
Can't make any comments on what I see for piecemeal discounts though. While I was considering doing some, I haven't made any. So I can only go off others' word that those aren't showing anymore. (Plus the official statement of being able to use prior pieacemeal purchases, but no mentioning the discounts.)
Honestly, a la carte was always classic microtransactions nonsense and I'm not sad to see it gone, but they probably got rid of it because too much work relative to the benefit. The rest sounds like typical bugs you see any time a new system is rolled out.
I don't see how it was classic microtransactional nonsense. I can see the comparison if I had to buy the full book to use it, but instead I just paid for the character sheet options and didn't purchase anything else. It saved me so much money while me and my group used this site since we run an entirely Homebrewed game. I didn't need to purchase monsters, magic items, the adventure books, setting books, or backgrounds and only bought spells, classes, races, and sublcasses.
It was only reason myself and plenty of other people used the site. This is honestly a terrible change; I can't justify a full book if I'm only going to be using less than 20% of it.
I bet they are banking on short term pain and long term gain. In the near future they may experience a drop in revenue but they are hoping that as new people get into the game they will accept the then established status quo. The only way this changes is if they see immediate and significant drops along with loud customer dissatisfaction, which may threaten their position in the market. This is a money grabbing move which I hope changes because I don't plan on buying any of the books unless I need to DM which may not be for a long time.
