I purchased Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting - Part One hoping to have access to Bard: College of Cuisine and Cleric: Hunt Domain, neither of which was included so I promptly returned it. (I may still purchase it but I was disappointed that the two subclasses I wanted most were not in it.)
If I'm not mistaken, this edition includes: Bard: College of Fleshweaving Druid: Circle of the Hive Paladin: Oath of the Harvest Wizard: School of Biomancy
SO... it stands to reason that the others (Bard: College of Cuisine, Cleric: Hunt Domain, Ranger: Trapper, Sorcerer: Skinshifter and Warlock: Parasite) will be included in the next edition. Right? I really wish they included all of them in one book, but I guess it's their way of getting people to buy both? Is there any hint of a release date for Part Two?

No word at all on part 2 or when it’s coming but it might be a while. It’s quite possible that all the harder to adapt to DDB stuff got put into the second half and we won’t see it until they’ve figured it all out

This tracks with the business model for DDB since wotc bought it. No surprise, though it seems to be a well thought out plan.
I have a hard copy of Heliana's (which also includes a PDF) and I quite like it. Lots of different adventures and very customizable. I haven't bought the digital assets yet (I just set up the adventure I ran by hand) but I probably will as I get to some of the more involved adventures.
Another question, which I think I know the answer already, but... the College of Cuisine Bard, which I assume will be in "Part 2", has the ability "you can add one additional ingredient to the recipe, conferring the benefits of that ingredient to the dish" which I imagine refers to the crafting rules of crafting food in "Part 1".
I am guessing that someone wouldn't be able to make full use of this ability unless they purchased both books, or at least used the food crafting rules in "Part 1" (not included in "Part 2").
Im i reading the crafting rules wrong or does it only take two & a half hours, 5gp and a bit of animal fat to make a common potion of healing?
need to make potion base that cost's 5gp and takes 2 hours, you then need to enchant it with animal fat for 30 minutes. isnt this super cheat and fast? doesnt base rules cost 25gp and take a full day to make a single potion, as a elf i can create a potion after sleeping for 4 hours while the rest of my party is finishing their long rests.
No that's right. Don't forget that an underlying assumption is that you have to actually find the creature (in this case a beast) to get the fat, so the risk involved offsets the fact it's cheaper and quicker than the usual crafting rules. Also the standard crafting is basically broken anyway, pinning the production time to the value leads to ridiculous things like fairly standard heavy armour taking a full year, so I guess it's just a case of which system makes more sense to you
Its disgusts me, that a hard cover book I can get for 131aud, that includes the pdf and digital extras, I have to pay 95.61aud for part 1 of at least 2 so my players can use it in dnd beyond https://100001****/https://1921681254.mx/ .

Loot Taverns Discord mentioned that Part 2 will depend on how well Part 1 sold. Additionally, not everything thats still missing may make it into Part Two either, it all comes down to making things like the Tamer Class work on DNDBeyonds Capabilities.

You've got 2 companies expecting to make a profit now instead of 1. Both did actual work that took resources (1 more than the other of course). DND Beyond is part of a $4B USD annual revenue corporation which I am assuming does not have the same slim profit margin expectations that small independent game publishers have. If what you really want is the hard cover book with pdf then homebrew what you like from Heliana's into DDB and save yourself some Aussie $$. The publisher probably makes more, too.
Anyone got information or a link for a list of EXACTLY WHAT can be socketed into equipment? The book we have currently talks about this briefly, but there's no further details on what IS socketed into the equipment. I have some obvious ideas with things like the Elemental Gems and such, but a specified list and what they bring to the table would be a great help.
I still don’t know how to socket a magic item on the app, do you just have in your inventory or is there a setting or function that you need to use? I just don’t understand how it works.

There does not appear to be an option/feature to socket items into other items. Instead you will probably either have to
Make a homebrew item that combines the base item with the socketed item
Add a note to the socketed item with the features of the socketable item
They are (or at least will be once you buy it)
The tamer class could mean a revolution in the game.

Anything with the "socketable" tag in Appendix A
Goo Luck Dice - "Wondrous Item (socketable), common"
Appendix A features 6 socketable items
