2014 - the damage would cause you to revert back to your base form and any left over damage would then be inflicted on to the druid. If however you were inflicted with an instant death effect (I.E. Power Word kill) in wildshape, you'd revert and die as a druid
2024 - if you take lethal damage in wildshape, you die and revert back to normal, however you retain your HP even while wildshaped, so much harder to kill than a cr 0 or cr 1/4 creature would be, even while in that shape.
As a DM I wouldn't have a problem with a PC druid wildshaping into some animal that doesn't have a specific stat-block. Within reason. For most choices I can just pick something close (e.g. a wolf stat for a dog) or for any small critter just give them 1 hit point and probably a 1 in all other stats!
Though that's slightly besides the point. As R3sistance says, if someone tried to cut a druid-worm in half, the druid-worm would either immediately pop back to normal form (2014 rules) or they attacker will find it's a surprisingly hard worm to cut in half (2024 rules)!

If a Druid wild shapes into a worm and gets cut in half does the Druid die or become two
Wild shape isn't intended to be used to transform into creatures without stat blocks, like most worms.
Find your own truth, choose your enemies carefully, and never deal with a dragon.
"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

This all said, as 6thLyranGuard points out there is no applicable worm stat block
