It works well if you have all your encounters set up. I find it doesnt organized encounters well enough for me. If you ha e the time (or money) I find it better to have it all in roll 20. I'm a pro subscriber and it's easier for me. Also I'm running large dungeons full of encounters.
When I click to cast a spell on dnd beyond. It puts the attack and damage rolls in roll20 but also puts a description of if its mvs and materials used . I don’t need/want this to show.
I have been using Beyond20 for a while now. I love it. As far as I'm concerned it made converting my in-person game into a remote game possible. Kudos!
My group has recently been deciding what to do next. I am DMing, but I don't have a lot of time for prep, so I am basically only considering buying pre-built WOTC modules and running them. I did some research and AFAICT the only places that (are licensed to) sell them are DDB, Roll20, and Fantasy Grounds.
DDB is great, but as we know there is no current VTT, so at best it's a resource to use elsewhere (via Beyond20). I was looking at FG and found a lot of good material and reviews, and good pricing, but as far as I know there is no integration with DDB or with Beyond20, which feels like a dealbreaker to me - I don't want to have to move my players over to the FG character sheets. That basically left Roll20.
I know Foundry has some tools that allow for some importing of content from Roll20 and maybe FG, but it's all a little bit too beta for me right now (and anyway, you still need to buy the content somewhere else first).
So, here's my question: is Fantasy Grounds not support because the author (being a Foundry guy now) has no interest, or is it because FG doesn't have the right API built, or is it because fundamentally it's not possible (since, I think, FG needs to know both what you're rolling and against what enemies, and possibly other info as well), or just a matter of priotization of the author's time, or something else entirely?
Second question: is there another path to using DDB/Beyond20 along with Foundry to run pre-built WOTC modules that I somehow missed?

Go to "More options" and there's an option to select whether or not to display components on spell casts.
@DineshM: Hey, those are good questions. So there's a few reasons why FG won't be supported. First of all, Beyond20 is a browser extension, so it only works within the same browser. Roll20 and Foundry are both web applications running within the same Chrome. Fantasy Ground is its own application running as a separate process, there is simply no way for Chrome to communicate with another process on the machine, as that would be a huge security risk if it allowed that. The second reason is because I don't use and am not interested in FG so I wouldn't even try to find a solution to that. I've tried FG for maybe 15 minutes and it was so horrible that I gave up on it.
Foundry on the other hand is what I support, not just because I love it, but it's because it's an amazing platform that is very open and works beautifully. The Roll20 to Foundry conversion is not Beta. I am actually also the author of that converter and wrote it/used it to move my Curse of Strahd game from Roll20 to Foundry over a year ago. I'll be updating R20Converter within the next couple of weeks but the last release was in January and it's been working well for everyone since. I mostly want to update it to make it do smarter management of assets to avoid duplicate token files to save space to those using The Forge (Cloud hosting for Foundry games, which is, yes, another one of my projects :D Actually, it's my current main project/business and is now my long term future/career plan).
What some people do in order to buy WotC pre-made modules for Foundry is to buy them on Roll20, then convert them for Foundry. the conversion is pretty much perfect, but there's some small adjustments to be made, mostly specific to improving some things that Roll20 does wrong in their own modules, or making use of the more advanced features of Foundry (like setting up terrain walls).
Hopefully, that helps clarify things! Let me know if you have further questions (about Beyond20, Foundry, R20Converter or The Forge).
Thanks.
p.s: The information about R20Converter are in the youtube link/description, and if you're curious about The Forge itself, here's a link for more info : https://forge-vtt.com
@KaKaRoToDM I only see greyed out options on any characters. When I go into the extension settings I can set some things but they don't all carry over. I'm able to roll ability checks but that's all. I installed it in Chrome, Chrome-beta, and Firefox just to test, same results.

Hey Folks - first off, as a newbie player this app has really helped me get into the groove of things - so kudos for that!
However, I'm having an issue with integration into Roll20. As a simple player (I'm not messing with the DM side of things yet!) i have no issue clicking my Dex saves, Athletics rolls, or most of the available rolling options on my character sheet BUT I just can't seem to send any of my attack or damage rolls over to Roll20. I'm not even doing fancy magic stuff, just good old fashioned sword and sandal hack'n'slash, but whenever I click on my sword to hit, while it rolls in Beyond, the result just does not transfer across into Roll20.
So, what am I missing? I should add I'm using updated Firefox on a Mac, if that makes a difference.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

You have to have your token selected in roll20
Untrue actually - token selection is only matters for initiative rolls. Beyond20 is broken right now due to the DDB character sheet update they pushed out today. He's working on it, but right now attacks don't work. You aren't doing anything wrong.
The fix is already available in the development version of Beyond20. I expect to have a new release out later today or tomorrow, in the meantime, if you really can't wait, and you're realizing just how much Beyond20 is essential to your lives, you can install the development version by following the instructions here : https://github.com/kakaroto/Beyond20#developer-mode-installation
On ddb, if you customize your second wielded light simple weapon(Shortsword and Shortsword), and set the checkbox for "dual wield" which then moves the attack action down to being a bonus action without the damage bonus rightfully so. The problem with beyond20 is that when I click the to hit it only rolls damage it doesn't roll a 20 or 2 d20's like the normal primary attack does.
Alternatively if I keep it as a standard default action but try to apply a -2 override to make it properly an offhand not applying a damage bonus, it does the same, it only sends a damage roll no d20 to hit roll.
Are there any step-by-step instructions we can follow to set up HP updates between dndbeyond and roll20 using beyond20?
I used to be able to update HP on my dndbeyond character sheet and it would automatically update the HP for my character token in roll20. However, after the dndbeyond update yesterday, this feature seems to be broken and I can't figure out how to fix it.
The names on my character sheet and token are identical, and I have the "Update VTT Token HP" feature turned on in beyond20. Despite this, changing the HP on my character sheet does not update the HP on my token anymore.
We were playing tonight and it seems Javelin is broken. It will give the damage, but not the attack roll. I will update as we go on if we find anything else!

Custom weapon attacks and spells cast from the actions page will only roll damage (spells cast from the spell page will still work). This is a bug that I introduced in 2.1 and has already been fixed in the development version. You can expect a new release very soon with the fix for that.

Hey everyone,
For your information, the D&D Beyond sheet update from today (https://www.dndbeyond.com/changelog/844-character-sheet-changelog-july-7th-updates) broke Beyond20 and it doesn't roll things properly anymore.
