However, I cannot for the life of me find where his role-playing information (bonds, flaws, ideals, roleplaying traits, alignment) are located on this sheet. Is this simply overlooked in DDB's online character sheet? Or am I missing it somewhere?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Also, where is background information found?
If you are not the owner of the character sheet, there are 2 "missing" tabs that contain the information you are looking for. It would seem to be a limitation of DDB. It's good to keep that away from other players but that seems like an issue for the DM not to be able to access it.
I'm curious, have you created a campaign, and that player has added the character in question to the campaign? In my group, our DM can access mine (and other players), but I can't see those of other players.
I think that the personality elements (aka role-playing elements) are considered "private" and thus not shared through a share link, which is what you provided. I'm guessing that means it is what your player provided you with.
If you create a campaign here, and have the player add the character to it, then you will be able to see these things: there will be a two new "tabs" in the big box on the left-had side of the sheet between Features&Traits and Creatures; those new tabs are named Description and Notes. Description will have the info you are looking for

No, I have not created a campaign. I honestly don't know how. I also don't have a DnDBeyond subscription.
Some of my players use it for their character creation, so I'm just trying to access their full sheets.

To my knowledge, you do not need a subscription to create a campaign on DDB. You should be able to create one under Creations > My Campaigns. Once finished, it should generate a link which you can send to the players that are using DDB for their character creation. When they add their characters, you as the DM in that campaign should be able to see their entire sheets through the campaign page. Click on the "View [sheet]" button under their name.
A player has sent me his DDB character sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/8148763/ONvFnN

The stuff you are looking for is all on the backgrounds tab. Only the character's player and DM can see it, it is hidden from everyone else.
If you create a campaign on DDB as the DM and ask the player to add his character to it, you will be able to view and edit it the same as the player.

I can verify that a subscription is not needed to create a campaign.
