I would like to see such a thing if it doesn't already exist within the website, also creating magical weapons with no "base weapon". I think that because of the unique weapon options there is just nothing to work with if the weapon is not already existing, I cant create a magical harpoon if there is no harpoon in the game or if I am bound to use only existing weapons and base point.
also if I'm wrong please tell me, I don't want to sh*t talk and then find out I was a d*ck for no reason (sorry if i offended someone with the last line)
Homebrew base weapons is planned, but not currently a feature.
The main thing you are not able to change is damage dice, weapon properties can be added and removed with modifiers (though range properties have a bug that prevents properly setting ranges).
Your harpoon idea could easily be a spear, maybe with an additional special property.
Harpoons can be tricky due to "real life" expectations, primarily the leash or tether feature. Rules wise that would make it something of a magical weapon from the effect - ranged recover, ranged grapple, or ranged grab and bring closer.

Well, fair but you missed the point, it's about being able to create new things
If you go to the Creations tab and look up items, there's quite a bit of new in there =)
