I've seen Adventurer's League referenced in some other threads, but for the most part I didn't see people asking about this in particular (or if they did, I didn't see any kind of answer).
Will there be support for AL Log Sheets? In particular, I care about this as a DM, but it would be really nice to have it on the player-side as well. If I manage a campaign through this app, right now I can add private notes, public notes, and manage the characters in the campaign (which is great, don't get me wrong). But it would be really nice to have something dedicated to logging discrete sessions, particularly everything that pertains to AL (the same stuff that is in the Adventure Log page of the AL character sheet that Wizards provides).
I imagine it working in this way:
DM runs a session for a group of players
DM fills out an log entry for the whole session. XP/Gold/Renown/Downtime rewards are split evenly amongst the players, and each item is discretely listed and rewarded to a player.
The DM can then choose to fill out sub-logs for individual characters to amend the session results for those characters. For example, if a character completed a secret mission for their faction, or if they missed out on certain rewards in the session, these amendments can be made on a player by player basis.
Characters have a dedicated section or page on the app that shows their adventure log. Each log that a DM fills out like above would automatically be imported into this page. Additionally, players can create more logs if they go to a session where the DM doesn't use DDB, or if they assign DM quest rewards to their character. All logs created for (or imported for) a character automatically get applied to the character sheet.
There may be some exceptions for what gets automatically applied to character sheets, which is understandable. Things like story rewards are good to have listed, but don't really have a good place to be listed in the sheet outside of the log itself.
Those are my thoughts/requests. Anyone know if this has been brought up elsewhere, or if it's a WIP?
Bumping, and adding more thoughts. Hopefully this can begin to gain more traction. I've seen murmurings of this around the forums, but still haven't seen any confirmation that anything is in the works.
I'm thinking this would manifest as two features. First, an option on campaign pages that would allow for the aforementioned "session wide" logs from my last post. The feature would have a form to fill out all the information I mentioned in my previous post. Then, there would be another section (in addition to the notes and character list already on the campaign page) to hold the logs. Each log would be collapsable (similar to how features, items, etc. work elsewhere on this site), with the header of each log displaying the date, session number, DM, and campaign when collapsed.
Feature 2 would be on the character side. Whenever the dm fills out a log as described in feature one, each character included will have a log added to their character. This will simply be another section on the character page (or, alternatively, in the character editing flow as a final optional step. Really, there are a lot of acceptable options on where to display log info for characters). Additionally, characters have the option of adding logs themselves (e.g. should they have a DM who doesn't use DDB). Whenever a log gets added to a character, there should be an option to automatically put the rewards into the character (probably with a confirmation window showing the user what the changes will end up being).
Finally, there are some "nice to have" bits that could add to these features, like support for DCI numbers. For players, this just means being able to add their DCI to their characters. For DM's, this means they can digitally "sign-off" on logs using their DCI. Additionally, a log could "lock" when a DM signs it with their DCI, meaning the player can't edit it, only the DM. AL works on the honor system, but this is a nice little feature (which seems mostly harmless) that could help keep people honest. Another nice addition would be an option in each log (visible only to the DM) which allows them to send the DM rewards for that session to one of their characters. This could also be extended to support for DM quests as well. Finally, being able to make a character explicitly AL legal (I've seen this in particular proposed elsewhere on the forums, popularly as an option on the first step of character creation), and that character being visibly marked as such.
I think most of these things should be relatively reasonable. At the very least the basic log functionality I described should be relatively easy, compared to a lot of the other stuff accomplished on this site. The additional features could understandably be a bit trickier though. DCI support relies on working with WotC, and I don't know what kind of services they currently provide for third parties to utilize the DCI system. AL legal characters I imagine would be one of the simpler "nice to have" features, but all the AL information should probably be added to the compendium first (another idea, work with AL to provide AL modules through here in addition to DM's Guild). DM rewards/quest support would benefit a lot from this (only allow the rewards to be applied to AL characters), but they would also rely on working closely with the AL organization to make sure information and calculations are updated on here in a timely manner (e.g. what if AL changes the way DM rewards are handled for sessions again?).
Phew. I've added a lot of stuff here, there's probably a lot of other cool stuff that could be done as well, but this is what occurred to me and is important to me. I understand that all these things take time and effort (I'm an engineer too; believe me, I get it :P ), I'm mostly just posting this to see if there's anything in the works, what kind of timeline and features we can expect, or why things things won't be added (if they aren't going to be).

Thanks! Hoping to hear back on this!
Just found this thread, and can only back up this one.
