If you have two attacks per turn, you can attack once with a two-handed weapon, drop the weapon on the ground and draw another weapon as part of your attack action, and attack with the second weapon, yes. It just isn't something you can reliably repeat, since you would then have to pick your weapon up off of the ground as your environmental interaction next turn, and you'd be unable to draw a sword again. Also, it's stupid and overly complicates a system intended to be simple.
Well I am not sure calling it stupid was very nice. Overly complicated maybe. It is not entirely unbelievable to be able to just hold the two handed weapon in one hand. And draw and use another weapon with your other. But thanks
To use the two weapons you would need for both weapons to be light. To do what you suggest you would need a few things:
The main hand weapon would need to have the versatile property.
You would need the Dual Wielder feat that lets you use weapons that are not light and it lets you draw and stow 2 weapons.
To gain the stat damage for the off-hand attack you would need to have the two-weapon fighting style from the fighter (1st level) or ranger (2nd level).
So you attack with your versatile weapon with two hands then draw your off-hand weapon attack, stow it, then be ready for next round.
When you take the Attack action and attack with a light melee weapon that you're holding in one hand, you can use a bonus action to attack with a different light melee weapon that you're holding in the other hand.
Note there that if you make your initial attack using a weapon held in two-hands, you CANNOT then use two-weapon fighting.
Can I use a two handed weapon. Then switch to a one handed weapon to get my second bonus attack. Thanks.
If your character gets two swings, I believe you can do so. It would require that you drop the two-hander on the ground though.

Also I was actually looking for the rules that would either make it possible or impossible.
It would be good strategy against a BORG like opponent if both swords had different properties.
It's also good if the idea is to leave the two hander behind if you only get benefit for killing blows with the one-hander.

Thanks. This is kinda how I thought it might look. I have all of these prerequisites. awesomeness
It sounds like you're wanting to use the rules for Two-Weapon Fighting, which allow using your bonus action to make an additional weapon attack.
