Just here to "bump"the post as our entire party might have the option to use a sidekick at level 3.. I hope the development and creators don't have difficulty with this
There are a whole bunch of things from Tasha's that still haven't been implemented as yet; from core class and subclass features (Artificer, Sorcerer, etc), through to Sidekick functionality, and plenty more besides.
Seeing as that book was now released almost a year and a half ago, and the 5E release schedule isn't slowing down any, I honestly don't expect to see any of it implemented now; if we're being honest.
Am I happy about that? Not at all, but I don't see it changing in a hurry either. The to-do list just keeps getting longer with every new release, so unless Wizards funnel some serious revenue into additional staffing, it'll keep getting bumped further and further towards the end.
On one hand, the Beyond folks do a brilliant job at keeping up with a hectic release schedule, offering a great toolset with excellent functionality. Can't knock them for that.
On the other, it's disappointing that core features from official releases, that we pay top dollar for (usually buying it twice, if you include the hardcopies), never find their way into the same toolset.
Honestly, more than anything I just need a way to "level up" my Sidekicks rather than just add a new "Spellcaster - Healer (Level 5)" to replace my "Spellcaster - Healer (Level 4)."
Also, it would be nice if I could click on the spells in a Sidekick's statblock and actually roll them or get a link to the DDB page for the spell.
Side Note: If anyone was having trouble managing the "Sidekick's" inventory--like I was--my work around is just create a Container in your character sheet labeled "[Sidekick's Name]." It won't transfer their spells.

Being able to select and roll the Sidekick's spells would be incredibly helpful, and I know Encounters is still in BETA but it'd be nice if it would calculate the Challenge Rating if a character had a sidekick

Yeah these are probably coming at the time time as spell points....
Just discovered sidekicks. Would love to have a builder for them.
Another vote for a sidekick builder.
We need a sidekick builder in dnd beyond.

Me also like seven hundred other characters that I don´t want to go through.
I am currently writing a collection of short stories called ¨tales from the pocket realm.¨
