I'm one of a few streamers who are running campaigns as an interactive experience with the viewers (typically referred to as chat) of their streams. The viewers roll dice and make suggestions and decisions about the main character's actions.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, but players do not actually have to join a VTT. A simple way to describe it is 'chat plays' in which viewers control or influence the main character's decisions. Experience: New or experienced are all welcome Location/Timezone: I live in South Korea and stream in the late evening here (from 11pm to 2am). That's early morning for central USA, late evening for Oceania, and afternoon for the UK. Schedule: Daily, except Saturdays Roles sought: Players (active or semi-active in the chat) Game style: Variety of characters - typically the stories are more about finding creative solutions to problems, but combat is also a possibility. Dungeon crawls are a possibility though. Tools/platforms: I use roll20, Kassoon, Donjon, D&D Beyond, and AI Dungeon. My DM style: Reward creativity, ingenuity, roleplay in the spirit of the character and following the logic of the story. As the format is subject to abuse, I try to advise players against decisions that would conflict with their character (for example, making decisions in contradiction to their alignment). Veto is possible if suggestions too antithetical or nonsensical. Campaigns: Mostly homebrew and dynamic, but also modules on Sundays
I currently have four different characters in four different campaigns, one of which has just started Dragon of Icespire Peak which is scheduled for Sundays.
For now, I'm focusing on only having one main character for each of the stories/campaigns. Additional player characters are only going to be introduced after I have enough regular, active players (viewers who are actually playing the main character and progressing the story) to also play those other characters.
You can find me on Twitch under the name slashkey.
