There are things in this game that are banned, such as spells, feats, and so forth.
There are a couple custom house rules in this game that will be explained and listed.
I'm not a cruel DM, but be prepared for the possibility of character death.
My monsters are tailored to the players' power and the flow of the game. (Custom monsters)
Short description of the game's story:
Welcome to the Tears of Tyranny, a home-brew campaign of my making. Here you will take place as survivors in a world of treachery, cruelty, and misery. The story will take place in the far away land of the Mainland, where you wake up to a mysterious call of power. You don't know where this power comes from, or what it truly wants. But one thing is for certain, it has spoken to you and now, you are here. Upon the land of the Sufferer, you find yourself on the infamous prison island, trapped, amongst many others. How did you end up here amongst all these criminals, and vagabonds? The question evades you, as you do not know the answer yourself, but perhaps its inhabitants can help, if they are willing. But who is friend or foe? Can any of these people be truly trusted? What have you committed that you deserved to be placed here? Whatever the reason is, you need to get off this island, and make your way back to the mainland to find answers. The only question you should worry about currently is, how far are you willing to go, in order to escape this place... That no one has ever left.
Details of the game:
Grey dark mostly covers that this story will be brutal in places, but it won't focus on solely on that alone. Humour, interactions and many adventures await, where your choices can make a difference. There are no good or bad decisions. Only consequences of said actions. Experience is rewarded both for combat and feats. Additional XP can be earned through good role-play as well. I expect every player that is invited to the game to work together and help each other in battle. Yes, that means you can't bring your betrayer character here. To uncover the lore and story of this world, you'll need to explore and hunt for them to find out more. Remember : your characters have no idea how did they end up here in the first place. WHY they don't remember many things is a different question however. It could be they have amnesia, or they just simply forgot. That doesn't mean you have forgotten everything, but this will be discussed in person. This game will be played on Roll-20. If you don't have an account don't worry I'll help you out with the process. Speaking of players, I don't mind if a beginner with barely no experience or a veteran with years of knowledge comes into this game, but I like to give chances to new players to experience DND.
Expectations(IMPORTANT PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY.)
I can't believe I have to post this, but sadly here we are.
While the game is fun and enjoyable by many, I will set my foot on a couple of rules that you need to know about dear player. Breaking these rules will grant the offender a warning, and after the second time, without WARNING they are banned from the game, no trial no questions. As the dungeon master it is my duty to make sure everyone is having a fun time, and I will NOT tolerate in my game the following offences.
Making racist slurs.
Making a player/players uncomfortable with intentional unfriendly behaviour.
Disregarding teamwork, and actively undermining your teammates.
Leave real life politics out of the game.
While I understand conflicts can rise between view points of the players, they should remain PRIVATE. If you have an issue with each-other please be civilized and discuss it between yourselves. If I'm needed I'll act as mediator in the conflict.
If you think this game would suit you, and you'd enjoy playing this daring adventure, don't hesitate to write to me on KriegIronHide#2593 on DISCORD. You can also write a DM here but I check my discord more often than DND-beyond. I won't be able to respond instantly so don't worry if I don't write back, I'm probably working so please, be patient.
Thank you for your time and have a lovely day. Krieg.
