Time/Schedule: Saturdays, 6 pm-10pmish EST (GMT -5)
Experience: Experienced players preferred, but not required.
Language: English
Platform: Tabletop Simulator, with light PBP elements for sidelined players to still be involved and have an impact.
Voice Chat: Discord
Type of Game: Combat-centric boss fights (combat-centric≠no Rp)
Number of Players: Pseudo-West Marches, 10-16 total, 6-8 players at one time, first come first serve, but the goal here is to be drop-in/drop-out friendly
Campaign Length: 12ish? 👀 Encounters = 12 Sessions(ish) but could be close to 2 sessions per encounter.
Decorum: LGBTQA+ and POC are always welcome at my table and will be accommodated to the best of my ability no questions asked. Intolerance will be met with intolerance, make someone uncomfortable and you’re gone, no exceptions, no arguments, no second chances. No peasant railgun/bag of holding blackhole shenanigans, you’re encouraged to make a strong character within the established guidelines, not to break the game.
About Me: I've been playing D&D since I was about 12 years old, and have been DMing most of my time with the game. I prioritize character flavor, power, and fun, bending the rules where I can to make sure your vision for your character is realized. That being said I do really love designing combat encounters to challenge (not destroy or upset) my players.
Setting: My own setting which has a home for almost every culture from history. I take inclusion and representation very seriously.
Vibes and Inspiration: Exandria Unlimited: Calamity
To set the scene w/o spoilers: Humanity has enjoyed a time of peace, prosperity, and unprecedented magical and technological advancement for over 400 years. The very heart of humanity’s civilization, the Ruhun Caliphate stands tall from the shining city of Abraj. The 14th Caliph Maheer has invited the greatest champions of humanity from all corners of the world to celebrate the birthday of his ancestor, the 1st Caliph Maheer on what is known as the Night of the Caliph. As all the attendees make their way to the city, rumors gather. Whispers of horrors kept hidden under the 3 towers of Ruhun. Gems and gold coins of an unusual brilliance make their way through the markets. The faint smell of decay lingers through the alleyways. Livestock uneasy and on edge. What secrets lie within the ancient and exalted towers of the Ruhun? How does a celebration hang over the city like a storm? What will you do if the world around you comes crashing down?
High-level combat with 6-8 players sounds like a slog, how are you going to manage that?: We’re going to have turn timers of 2 and a half minutes to declare what you want to do on your turn. I will also be on a timer for NPCs, so if my timer goes up, everyone gets inspiration. This doesn’t include questions, rolling, or having to resolve any funky interactions. If your timer is up, the only punishment is getting your turn skipped.
What the campaign is going to look like: There will be an RP text channel to get things started and set the stage. Players will be able to communicate in character between sessions to share information in this channel as well. There are 3 Towers that rise from the Citadel of Abraj, players will have to coordinate and investigate the Citadel’s towers starting from underneath the surface and going all the way up to the very top. Players will vote on where to start prior to the start of the week’s session. All players can vote, even if they can’t make a session.
Elaboration on “Pseudo-West Marches”: There will be some play-by-post elements for players to gather information on upcoming encounters and NPCs. This can result in the party having some advantages going into an encounter such as hints on weaknesses, potential traps, and maybe even items to help with a specific enemy. There is also (a small amount of) potential for an encounter to become more difficult this way. The first 4-8 players that can confirm they can play for the week have their spot at the table locked in so long as they are on time. If you’re going to be late just try to let me know, if you can’t make it NBD just try to let me know. In the event of players having to cancel, I’ll post it, and the first people to respond get the slot. I’m not anticipating 30 bajillion people to be trampling over each other to get into this campaign let alone a session so if we end up only getting like 4 players I’ll adjust accordingly.

Character Creation Guidelines:
Flavor: You are creating a hero, a powerful archmage, a legendary warrior, a world-renowned adventurer, the living champion of a god. Be as vague or as specific as you'd like.
Level: 20
Races: Humans only, in my setting (not that it will really matter for this “campaign”) other races such as Aasimar, Genasi, and Tieflings are all born from human parents and are considered Humans. Tasha’s Custom Lineage has replaced the racial ability scores, however, instead of +2 and +1, you get +2 and +2. I'll provide a link to a compiled list with homebrew in the discord.
Classes: Any LaserLlama Class, Alt Class, or Subclass. I’ll take a look at anything else but please stick with LaserLlama ideally. If you are unfamiliar with his homebrew I highly recommend giving it a look over. In my opinion as someone who has been playing 5e since release, his homebrew is the most balanced, the easiest to pick up, and in line with the design philosophy of 5e. https://www.gmbinder.com/profile/laserllama
Backgrounds: Any official ones, open to seeing any homebrew.
Feats: A feat every 3 levels, an ASI every 4, feats do not have an ASI unless stated otherwise. I compiled all the ones I allow and categorized them for convenience and it will be available in the discord.
Magic Items: Any Official Items, Griffon’s Saddlebag, open to requests. 1 legendary, 1 very rare, 2 rare, 3 uncommon
Stats: 16, 15, 14, 13, 13, and 10
