I'm looking to build a party for my campaign Thieves Can't. Starting in the port city of Zanthar you're an up and coming group of thieves guild member's who recently put their crew together and are looking to make a name. Will you climb the ranks of your local guild? Branch out to start your own chapter in unclaimed lands? Or usurp power in the hometown that rightfully belongs to you!
This will be a RP focused campaign that requires everyone to take a rogue sub class (minimum 3 levels), after which you are free to multi-class or stay pure rogue. All PCs will start at lvl 5 and get one free feat to facilitate character customization and allow players to included any desired multi-classes into their backstory. Maybe you were put in prison and had to learn how to fight hand to hand, had to infiltrate a bard school for a job, or tasked with assassinating a wizard and learned magical counter measures.
My intent with this campaign is to have the group build their crew around different specializations so everyone has moments to shine and reward RP and creative problem solving. This will be a homebrew world and as such I'm open to collaborating on rules and features that enhance the narrative. RP to combat split will depend on the current story circumstances, but expect combat encounters to be relevant to story beats and service the plot majority of the time.
As a DM I feel the rogue levels service the setting, but I still want players to have creative freedom. Rogues have such a variety of sub-class options that I don't feel it is very limiting to require.
I am open to possibly taking in a 6th player seeing as most groups lose one or two at the start, but they would have to be a pretty great fit since a 6 man party is a lot to keep track of and give everyone their time to shine. Not impossible, but I would just want it to be worth the effort.
Play time is TBD, more concerned with finding a good group and working around everyone's schedules. Discord and microphone required, digital character sheets would be preferred for me to reference while playing but willing to work with paper. Looking for inclusive players, no bigotry and all that standard stuff. Long term commitment is preferred.
Let me know on here or disc (red828) if you're interested. Send as much or as little about yourself and character ideas as you'd like and I'll read through everything and set up a time for us to chat either in voice or text chat. Thanks in advance!
