We’re diving into an adventure set in the Forgotten Realms, with the town of Greenest as our starting point. It’s a rough-and-tumble place—small but full of life, where merchants, mercenaries, and misfits cross paths. Trouble is never far, and neither are the people trying to keep things together.
Expect mystery, danger, and unexpected alliances as the party gets tangled in events much bigger than themselves. There are secrets lurking in the town, factions with their own agendas, and powerful forces moving in the shadows. Your character will have a real place in this world, shaping how the story unfolds.
Current Party
We have a diverse bunch of adventurers, each with their own skills, stories, and motivations.
AGE: 20+
Türin – A warrior with deep ties to Greenest, trying to find his place in a world that’s always changing.
Nymeia – A wandering scholar, full of knowledge and mystery, with a knack for uncovering secrets.
Fenril – A fallen noble turned-sellsword, fleeing a past that just won’t let go.
Kaiya – A Cleric of the Light Domain, bringing divine magic and healing to the group.
Vendric – A Paladin of the Oath of Vengeance, guided by a powerful sense of justice.
Abel – A Rogue, skilled in shadows, precision, and mischief.
Looking for Another Player
While we do have a cleric, our party could still benefit from another support or healing-focused character, perhaps a bard, druid, or a second cleric with a different focus. More than anything, we’re looking for a player who wants to get involved in the story, build connections with the party, and bring a new dynamic to the group.
We are using Player’s Handbook 2024 rules, and we’re all learning the new system together—so don’t worry if you’re still getting used to the changes. We’re starting everyone at level 1, so this is a fresh journey for all.
We play every other week, and we just had our Session Zero last Sunday. Our first session is scheduled for next Sunday, so if you join, we’ll need to ramp you up quickly to get you ready to jump in.
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, let’s talk and find a way to bring your character into the mix!
Interested, but timing DOES matter as I have an online group on Sunday already.
I've been wanting to explore a Pact of the Tome Celestial Warlock as a healer build. It LOOKS like it should be very capable and still has the stereotypical warlock's blast to contribute offensively.
I would be quite interested in joining a group like this :) Quite like the character names! I'm in an EST time zone and work a 4 on 4 off schedule but I have several characters sitting on a back burner that I'd love to run :) I have discord as well (Ryo#7544) send me a message if you are still taking in some strays!
I’m a long time player and I’m interested in your campaign. I can play Sundays but what time zone will the game be. I’d be interested in Bard or Druid.
Hey there, I've been looking to join a Sunday campaign and this one sounds really exciting! I'm a dedicated, knowledgeable and passionate player looking to find a group of like-minded individuals. I've done some playtesting with the 2024 rules and I think it's a great improvement for the most part.
I've got a few character concepts that could fit the bill but one in particular is a young female Circle of the Land Druid with the hermit background, who I would love to talk more with you about!
My name's Ivonne (29, she/her) and I'd love to be part of your campaign. My timezone's EST and biweekly on Sunday sounds great! If you and the rest of the party have a specific time in mind for the sessions I'd like to hear it.
I haven't had the chance to play with 2024 rules yet, but I'm pretty comfortable with 2014 rules, so it shouldn't be an issue. I have a concept for a Circle of the Stars druid that could fit nicely since they're good at healing and support. If you think I'd be a good fit for your party send me a DM and we can chat more :)
I am interested! I am a bit of a veteran with 5e. I love to build characters that fit the world and are fun for me to RP! I am available on Sundays from 6:00 PM til 11:30 PM in the CST timezone. I can be available earlier if need be. I love the bardic and druidic classes! I have a few characters I think would work. But, I would love to hear a bit more about the world before I decide on who!
If that is alright, I am available on Discord at w1stre
Looking to join a new group for DnD. Been playing since 2nd edition. Got a few built out characters to round out the team with, social, caster, frontline tank, investigator, etc. with backstories established. Familiar with the online interactive software, so no issues there. Pretty good with the Yes-And play to help the other players lean into the roles and interactions they want to shine in. Enjoy playing bard/cleric multiclass since its the most fun to epically fail at. In CST Zone here.
Interested, but timing DOES matter as I have an online group on Sunday already.

And my Sunday GM just cancelled out, so I no longer have even a potential conflict.
Play times will be: Every other Sunday from 11am PST through 2pm PST. (sometimes a 4th hour)
Do me a favor, describe your character concept a bit give me a brief blurb about you and I'll direct message you accordingly. Once we find our additional player I'll let the thread know.
Sloane's aspect embodies the essence of the forest spirit itself. She hides her features behind an eerie wooden mask and wears her hair in two beautiful long black braids as is tradition with her people. Where her skin is visible, inky black veins can been seen, hinting at some unknown affliction.
Draped over her shoulders is a poncho made of living moss which smells of damp earth, a testament to her deep connection to nature, providing her with both camouflage and comfort.
She wears moccasins made from soft, supple leather that allow her to move silently through the forest. Her attire is minimal yet practical and aside from the odd piece of jewelry or adornment carved from animal bone, each piece serves a purpose.
She carries a primitive spear, its sturdy shaft topped with a sharpened stone, and a herb satchel slung across her body. The satchel is filled with various plants and herbs she has collected, essential for her healing practices. Sheathed at her waist is a ceremonial bone dagger.
Backstory:
Born into a loving Druid circle deep within an ancient forest, Sloane's early years were filled with laughter, learning, and a deep connection to nature. Her unique affinity with plants and animals marked her as a promising young Druid.
The Blight:
As a teenager, Sloane was stricken with a mysterious blight disease that even the most skilled healers of her circle could not cure. In a desperate bid to appease the malevolent spirit which had cursed her and also prevent the blight from spreading, the circle elder led a ritual to bind Sloane to an ancient and sacred yew tree, entrusting her fate to forest spirits with hopes she would be cleansed. Alone and afraid, Sloane's fate seemed sealed. It's unknown how long she remained bound to the tree, but on the brink of death, she was freed from her bondage. A raven, perhaps scavenging for an easy meal, pecked at her restraints, severing them as she fell to the ground.
Return to the Grove:
Delirious and struggling for survival, Sloane made her way back to her Druid Grove. What she found shattered her heart: every member of her circle lay dead, veins blackened and bodies decaying. The blight had spread from Sloane to her circle and even into the forest itself. Though she survived, the blight left its mark on her, turning her veins black. She now hides her face behind an eerie wooden mask, a constant reminder of her ordeal.
A New Existence:
Overcome with grief and guilt, Sloane fled deep into the forest where for the past few years she has lived a dark and ominous existence as a hermit, witnessing the once-thriving forest deteriorate into darkness and corruption. The animals grow aggressive, their spirits corrupted by the blight. The spirit of the forest itself has become tainted and dark, the whispers on the wind, the swaying of the trees and the babbling of the brooks, once peaceful and guiding, have become distorted and ominous as it struggles against the corruption that consumes it.
Current Motivation:
Haunted by the memories of her past, Sloane tirelessly searches for a cure to heal the forest. Her once-pure connection with nature is now tinged with darkness, but she holds onto the hope that redemption and restoration are possible.
Do me a favor, describe your character concept a bit give me a brief blurb about you and I'll direct message you accordingly. Once we find our additional player I'll let the thread know.
Okay. Here's a quick bit, with little to no mechanics.
Shirlela Hemmim
Born in a normal human family of famers in Scornubel, her coloration made it clear from birth that Shirlela wasn’t simply human. Everyone was grateful as she grew and they realized she was an aasimar and not a tiefling.
Her youth was normal enough for a massive trade stop, overrun with strangers every Summer. Her unnatural appearance caused many visitor heads to turn, of course. A few of them over the years belonged to Harpers.
Her family taught her about Chauntea, of course. As she grew, Shirlela decided that she wanted to devote herself to The Great Mother. The lack of any nearby formal church to Grandmother left her with only third-hand accounts of how to do so. So she prayed, and asked for guidance, for assistance in learning to care for those around her. Her prayers were answered, but not with the powers of a priest or druid. She was taught, through her dreams, to wield arcane magic to support her community.
Shirlela has headed out from home, looking for ways to make a difference, to support those who both do good, and those who simply don’t do evil.
She’s somewhat naïve, positive, caring, and hopeful. Growing up in a trading town, she’s not blindly trusting, nor dangerously naïve.
She starts with the Pact of the Tome (And the Tome can be replaced changing out her spell selection) as the primary source for the larger healing spells. The Tome WILL be swapped when she gets her Celestial Patron at 3 level, and gains a core healing spell from her patron.
I figure her patron will be one of Chauntea’s lieutenants, not Chauntea herself. The quick Wiki articles I found tonight don’t show anyone’s lieutenants. Use to be kind of a big deal to include the major ones, anyway.
I am an old man, closing in on my 60 birthday.
I’ve been playing one game or another, one version or another, since the summer of 1979, when I made a Wizard using the original AD&D PHB and the DM ran me through something he put together using the Red Box. I failed to solve his puzzle. I don’t think any same person would ever solve it. Basically, you had a set of hallways that provide bunches of doors which all loop back to each other, and you had to duplicate the cartoons, going through EVERY door, towards the central hallway, to trigger the reward.
I am happy in the backseat, letting other players shine, as long as I get a minute or two now and again. I expect EVERYONE to get a chance in the spotlight. PCs built (or simply run) as though they are the only character which should matter quickly destroy the game for me. Cooperative ensemble storytelling is how the game is designed to work.
My other big pet peeve is that the game was designed for the PCs to be the heroes. I know the media has been teaching people to cheer for the anti-hero, or even villain (Breaking Bad, Dexter). I know many players now want to be that villain and still be the protagonist. Not the way I want to play. I recently left a game where KNOWING THE ABOVE (I try to communicate desires/expectations ahead of time, when it can do the most good for everyone involved), a player described how he was going to play as simply selfish. His behavior was actual psychopathically non-empathetic with every other living creature. When he tried to burn down the home of hostages, with the hostages inside, in front of their family, employees, and friends, because it was the easiest thing he could see to stop the hostage takers . . ..
Trying to communicate the above, I recently had a DM on this site PM me that he wanted nothing to do with me and wanted me to stay out of his recruitment thread. I thanked him. The point of bringing it up is to avoid wasting anyone’s time; to not be at a table where my choices are to either support play I will not support or leave the table. Everyone is free to play the game the way they choose. They are not free to force others to support that style of play. Cuts both ways. I understand this. Communication up front is the best tool I am aware of for the goal of helping everyone enjoy the hobby.
Might not be what you're looking for, but I've been wanting to mod the stats/gameplay mechanics for a character that could bring my chronic migraines into focus, similar to D20:Adaine Abernant's character with her anxiety condition.
I have ideas on how to do that, but in any case, the character I've had in my mind is a healer, especially based in herbalism. I'd leaned cleric originally (I'd go for Life domain), but given how strongly I want them to be sourcing things from nature, I could see this going druid, too (Circle of the Stars sounds interesting).
This character's goal is to keep biohacking their way to less and less pain. I think it'd be juicy at the start of a campaign for them to have just *lost* a vital ingredient source for one of their regular personal medicines (e.g., an herb that mainly grows on this one mountain which just went up in wildfire). So their immediate goal is to find a new source or substitute for that ingredient to try and get back to a little less pain.
Welcome to the Campaign!

Race: Human
