TLDR:
Congratulations! You’ve been recruited by Hell’s middle management. The Blood War is going badly, quotas aren’t being met, and upper brass is breathing down everyone’s necks. Your job? Do whatever it takes to get things back on track — whether that means cutting deals with pit fiends, sabotaging demon warlords, or finding that one missing shipment of damned souls. Benefits include hazard pay, eternal damnation, and a pitchfork with your name on it.
Game Description:
The Blood War has always been Hell’s favorite pastime — an eternal clash between devils and demons that keeps the Abyss’s chaos in check while giving Hell’s armies something productive to do. But lately, things have… slipped. Demonic hordes are gaining ground, quotas of damned souls are down, and frankly, morale in the Nine Hells is at an all-time low.
That’s where you come in.
Archduchess Glasya isn't calling for heroes — she's calling for fixers. Specialists who can go where legion battalions can’t. Operatives who don’t mind getting their hands dirty, as long as there’s a decent payoff. You’ll work directly under Hell’s management, moving through infernal war zones, sabotaging demon warlords, cutting deals with questionable allies, and maybe recovering the occasional “misplaced” shipment of tormented souls.
Your mission is simple: restore the balance in the Blood War… or better yet, tilt it so far in Hell’s favor that the Abyss spends the next millennium licking its wounds. How you achieve that is up to you. Some devils prefer open battlefield heroics, others lean on assassinations, blackmail, and soul brokerage. A few just want to watch the enemy burn — creatively.
Along the way, you’ll travel across the Nine Hells:
~Avernus, the scorched front lines where war machines roar and battle never stops.
~Dis, the iron city where secrets buy more than gold.
~Phlegethos, a volcanic court of temptation and fire where every favor has strings attached.
~And even the Stygian depths, where frozen treachery waits beneath the ice.
Expect devilish contracts, double-dealing fiends, and the occasional awkward negotiation with a demon lord. Whether you’re brokering an alliance between rival pit fiends or trying to survive a demon siege, you’ll be walking the fine line between victory and annihilation — all while keeping your own soul firmly in your possession… hopefully.
Tone & Playstyle:
This campaign blends high-stakes infernal warfare with black comedy and moral flexibility. You’ll face impossible choices, absurd bureaucracy, and apocalyptic threats in equal measure. The humor is sharp, the stakes are real, and betrayal is practically part of the job description.
What You’ll Need:
~A love for scheming, improvisation, and questionable moral decisions.
~A willingness to strike deals with devils (literally).
~A character concept that can thrive under pressure — or at least look good while making a spectacular last stand.
What You’ll Get:
~The chance to influence the fate of the multiverse.
~Memorable moments in a setting where every NPC has an agenda.
~Custom infernal loot, war machines, and contracts you’ll regret signing.
Welcome to Hell’s front lines! Clock in, suit up, and remember: if you’re not part of the solution… you’re probably about to be part of the problem.
About Me:
I pride myself on creating a safe and inclusive environment to ensure the comfort of my players in order to encourage intense roleplay experiences. Balancing high stakes emotional scenes with comedic relief enables this.
I enjoy creating unique and interesting NPCs, curating playlists for every occasion, utilizing various maps and handouts, and providing character art for key NPCs.
I also print and paint fully customizable minis, statuettes, and keepsakes! This is an additional optional feature. Shipping is free, ask me about sizes and pricing!
Run Time:
Sessions will be 3.5-4.5 hours each
Character Creation:
I'll host a free session 0 to include character creation. I like to do character creation together as a party in order to establish bonds between characters that might know each other before the start of the campaign, as well as balance party composition.
Players are encouraged to come to session 0 with a couple different character ideas. These should include species/class options, an idea of the vibe or role of the character, and an idea of what it was that was lost/stolen from the character. Homebrew pitches are allowed with GM discretion.
Characters will start at level 3. Stats will be rolled on Roll20 using the 4d6, drop the lowest method, with the option to reroll your lowest stat. You'll also need a free level 1 feat and a minor magic item (common-uncommon)
I would like to stream this campaign but if ANYONE is uncomfortable doing so, we will play as normal in private so don't let that discourage you from joining.
What You'll Need to Do:
To prepare, you'll need to have a Discord account for audio and general communications. The link for the discord will be provided through StartPlaying once you join the game.
We will use Roll20 for character sheets, maps, and handouts. The link to join will be provided through StartPlaying.
You'll also need to fill out the lines and veils safety document, linked on StartPlaying once you join the game.
Create a character art PNG if we intend to stream, I can help with this.
Homebrew Rules:
Potions as a Bonus Action
Flanking provides Advantage
GM advantage for creative solutions/excellent RP
Safety Measures:
Once you sign up for my games, I'll send over a link for my Lines and Veils document as the first line of defense. The data from this document will be compiled and provided to the table anonymously, posted in the game server, and reviewed in session 0.
During play, I utilize a red yellow green safety deck in Roll20. Players can anonymously deal out a green card to encourage a scene to keep progressing, a yellow card to pause and move on from the scene, or a red card to indicate a full stop where we will take a short 10-20 minute break to reset before continuing. Players are always welcome to privately message me if they need to talk or want to adjust the lines and veils/provide feedback on what to avoid in the future.
I like to wrap up a session with 15-20 minutes of open space to talk about anything anyone feels they need to talk about. Whether this is idle chatter to come down from the events of the game, talk over something that happened, compliment their fellow players, or anything else that might be on their mind.
⚠️ Content Warnings include: violence, memory loss, cults, trauma, and body horror (Full list available on request)
