Game Hook,
The dark star is a reminder of this world's curse, will you be able to discover its cause, and save the land from impending war, of fear and famine.
Story,
Dark Star is a campaign about discovery, secrets, and the inevitable fate of the world of Elthral. Shrouded by a Dark Sun, this cursed world has adapted and moved on, the horrors of the first night may haunt the likes of dwarves and elves, but man has become accustomed to this world and hope to protect it. The past is a haze, there was the glory days, spoken by those who lived 200 years ago, they talk of old pleasures, such as the plants, and the warmth. The current age is known as the Dark Age, and at this point, it is not normally used due to how long it has gone on. Legends speak that a warrior Lantharia faced off against the evil lich Zaroman, but ultimately this story's ending has become more of speculation, as neither of these two have ever been seen again. The lands are now stuck with fear, war broke out for food early in this affliction. Now gossip of the region of Great Theo claiming war on the land of the gods. King Berg VII has gathered the strongest hero's in the land to discover strange activity happening within there own kingdom, Unknowing to them all that the hourglass of doom has just been set into motion.
What To Expect,
I have been dm'ing for 8 years now, and I feel my style as a dm has been to promote player choice while having difficult moments, narratively and combat wise. Players may leave my sessions saying "where we suppose to win that fight" and I feel that is a perfect level i aim for, so if you are newer to games like this I wouldn't recommend joining. This campaign will cover groups of people, kingdoms worth who want to survive, so you may expect themes related to political power, city's suffering starvation, or hardened war generals preparing for wars. There won't be a good or bad side, just people, so expect hooks and quests to rely on moral outlooks, and their story will take many branching paths. This story will handle deities ,and angles as major mid game plot points, with them possibly being opposing forces. So in full, this is a survival based, mystery campaign, focused on making it day after day helping those you can, while also trying to find out how to save the land, from impending doom.
what I provide,
This is a free campaign. It will be hosted on a discord server, along with a roll 20 game that requires an account. I will make token art for characters, that you can provide art for or I can find online. I have some art down below I worked on for past characters.
how to join,
Take this google survey or dm me personally, anyone can join but I recommend being 21+ in age given the maturity that may be present in these games.
