The Spoiled Lands
The stars are falling. They started falling long ago, before any human on earth could even remember. They’re a promise of a disaster soon to come: a day when they will finally crash into the ground and bring the end of all life. The moon has already fallen, creating a desolate wasteland that warns of the dangers that await. The gods that once protected the land from such dangers are long faded-- forgotten and discarded. With the falling stars came the corruption of death. All creatures are cursed to die painfully and brutally, regardless of the situation of their life. The only peaceful deaths are brought by moths that swarm the night. Nobody knows if they're a blessing or a cruel trick, played by the gods who have abandoned them. Queen Saphinith of Ignea is reaching the end of her life. Fearful of what may happen after she leaves, she wants to see the lands brought back to peace. She calls on a group of heroes who might save it for her, willing to grant them her vast knowledge to send them on an adventure to save their world. This is a world of fallen gods, the husk of something that was once beautiful. It is your job to put the gods to rest and return the lands to their former glory.
Hello, I am Vee! I'm an experienced DM with about 7 years of playing under my belt. I like story-based games and heavy roleplay, and worldbuilding is my strong suit. I love strawberries and axolotls, and I'm an invertebrate zoologist!
This is a game that I've run before, though I've fixed the mistakes I made previously to make it a more polished experience! It will take place entirely in a homebrew setting with deep lore and history. We will use the original 2014 5e rulebook, not the more recent revised one. Characters will start at level 3, and we will level up through milestones. In general, the game will be roleplay-heavy and won't rely on combat.
This game is not beginner-friendly, as I'm not very good at explaining the rules. I'm perfectly fine with intermediate players-- as long as you can make your way around the basics, it's acceptable.
We will play weekly on Thursdays at 6pm Central European Time. Sessions will be 3 hours. Ideally, we will start on November 13th. However, if we cannot get organized by then, we will begin the week after. We will use Roll20 to organize information and character sheets, but use Discord for audio (which is mandatory).
There will be interviews for this game to ensure that you are a good fit (it should only take a few minutes). Please message me on Discord at vee9480 with your name, pronouns, and a day/time that you will be available for the interview. I will be accepting 5-7 players.
Please reach out if you have any additional questions, and I look forward to playing with you!

Preferred role: Player Game style: I love the roleplay in a good game/session! I like to also explore when I can. Combat is fun when it happens, but not what i'm looking for.
I'm interested in your campaign. I live in the U.S. but am available during the day pretty much all week.
