I'm a DM with maybe a year of off and on experience, trying to run a West Marches game for the first time. Google is your friend if you aren't familiar with West Marches, I'd recommend Matt Colville's video on it, or the original blog posts about it. It's a pretty cool system with a lot of potential.
Due to the nature of this type of game, obviously the schedule will be flexible. I plan to run maybe twice a week. The game is highly focused on exploration, with some combat as well. I'm planning to put in a few villains and a bit of story too, consider them a bunch of lit fuses that the players are encouraged to try and put out. There will also be upgrades the players can invest in for the base town, lots of downtime activities for them to engage in between sessions, etc.
Another thing to mention is that the players so far are pretty much 100% LGBT so if that's a problem for you, this isn't your kind of game.
