One thing I would like to see with the spell lists is a way to filter by school of magic (conj, div, ill, .etc.), otherwise this works great! Can't wait for the other phases.
I'll be digging it more when Phase 2 is here. And even more when I can purchase the additional content. Add way way more when there is an API or webservice to plug into my own apps pushing more members you're way! Maybe you guys should think about a developer marketplace in the future!

Will this be an app or it will be just a web seite?
They have verified that eventually there will be standalone mobile apps, but the site is designed to work on mobile devices now as well...:
"A native mobile app is absolutely in the works for DDB, but at this point for the beta everything is included in the website." - Morning After thread...
As an British user, is the App version live and myself just unable to access it or is the App to come later?
The app is not live yet, they are just doing Beta like this for now. You can access this beta on your mobile for it is mobile friendly. There is an app coming out, though. And hail to the UK! I just had a genealogy report done on my family and saw that I have a lot of Irish and British ancestry. So, if you see any Gerrard's or Rigby's near Manchester...lol

Interested to drill down into the different sorting functions and how well they work. Any thoughts on adding an encounter builder to to tools? Something based on XP or CR and that can be used in conjunction with the Monster list.
An example: I want to build a multiple enemy encounter. I search the Monster list, find some interesting foes and select "Add to Encounter". The tool would then do the needed math and calculate the XP (or equivalent XP) of the encounter. Inside the encounter builder tool you could customize the size of the party, their level and it would tell you how it compares to the recommended XP value. Maybe even the encounter level (Easy thru Deadly).
As it stands now, I'd guess that would fall under Beta Phase 3: Home-brew Integration and Campaign Management. Though being a big fan of Kobold Fight Club, it's really something I'd like to see much sooner.
Agreed. I built myself a printable "Encounter Map" and not in the sense of terrain. I can add the different enemies, their mental and physical stats, bonuses to hit and other things that impact the battle. I also added a section for tracking the HP of the monster when in the actual encounter. Though I have to add the data in myself, it helps make tracking multiple types of enemies, multiple waves of similar enemies, or multiple encounters in a single location (scaling a tower, moving through a keep, exploring a mine, etc). I would love to see a tool that would allow you to compile enemy data and turn it into a printable handout to streamline running a single or multiple encounters.
I am impressed with what I am seeing so far. About 43 years ago or so was when my D/D adventures started. All we had was notebooks, d 6, and a guy with a story to tell. The game has certainly changed and grown since then. Looking forward to see this site and what all it can do. I have all my books still. including everything from 4th. ed. ( My personal favorite) . I am very involved in 5th as well. GAME ON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm like Indiana Jones meets Obi-Wan Kenobi, only browner.
So glad that this is coming out! I've wanted to get into D&D for a while, but no one I know irl is interested. Now I can finally find a campaign and play!!!
I am loving this so far. And the ease with which I can look things up on my phone is wonderful. (My laptop likes to be testy, so I either have to have everything printed out or try to look it up on the lazy laptop.) Being able to just whip out the cell phone and look up monster stats or spells, etc. is great!

Not that we are not grateful for the first phase but when will the other two come out?
Thanks for the open invitation. Here to have a look about. Excited for an official app.

OOoooo OOOOOOO! Thank you ninjas for doing this! I am so excited to work through and use it in my current campaign!
A wizard is never late, nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to.
