Set in Eberron, with an emphasis on story and atmosphere over combat and mechanics. It'd be easier for you to already be familiar with the Eberron world. To set expectations, posting around 4 times a week would be great.
The Hook. The PCs are all Knights of the Silver Flame (of whatever class, you don't have to be paladins, but you can be). Each has legitimately engaged in some form of sin that has caused them to lose honor in the sight of the church, but, while the church has turned its backs on the PCs, the Silver Flame has not and still speaks to them.
At least at the beginning of the adventure, each PC is eager to regain their honor and atone for their sins. The PCs are offered a nigh-impossible task, one might say a suicide mission, to enter the Mournland and find the remains of the party led by Sir Alain the Just and the holy artifacts they were carrying. Time is of the essence though, as Karrnath is aware of the mission and determined to reach the holy artifacts first.
The party is given a set of tasks of varying priority:
- Recover the holy artifact, Hellfire, the spear carried by Sir Alain
- Either return with the bodies, or provide funeral rites and burial to the members of the party
- Recover or if absolutely not possible, Destroy the book that was carried by Sir Tenarn the Bright--it is disguised to appear like a particularly well illuminated religious tome, but encoded within are... questionable rituals.

While he holds himself with noble regard, his house denies him and when he came out openly professing his right to the house name, and was publicly ridiculed, he struck a noble and was arrested.
Not wanting the scandal to become a story, the house paid to sweep it under the rug, but the church would not stand for it and demanded absolution

Backstory, including the sin that caused your fall from grace: Afran awoke in an underground laboratory. All around her were complex designs for new and advanced warforged. Spy units to be sent into enemy territory, disguised as people. Some of the more recent designs showed mechanical and clockwork organs. Having no memory of who they were or how they got to this place, Afran fled. Fleeing the lab, she found herself on the edge of a wall of mist. She wandered for days before being found my a minister of the Silver Flame. He took her in and introduced her to the faith. Owing her life to him, she decided to join the Church of the Silver Flame. Over the next year, she tried to serve the church as best as she could. Her natural talent for finding people and information had her join the templars to find and root out evil. One day, Afran met a man claiming to be from Karrnath who knew of what happened to her. She had been hunting him for using necromancy but his claim made her pause. The more he spoke, the more she believed him. She distracted his other pursuers and lied to let him get away. His undead then killed a large number of people. For her part in his escape, she was removed from the Church.
Backstory, including the sin that caused your fall from grace: Onyx fought for Cyre during the war. When the mist spread and the war stopped, they found themselves in Thrane. Unsure what to do, having only ever known combat, Onyx was recruited into the Church of the Silver Flame as a templar and a warrior. Over the next four years, Onyx fought against the evils of the world, but they were too used to fighting to the death as they had been trained. They asked themselves, "Why let evil have the chance to slink away when I can end it here and now?" They quickly fell to the corruption of being a Zealot. After slaughtering their way through a group of helpless lycanthropes, Onyx was released from their service in the church for breaking their cardinal rules. Now they wish to stop their fall and redeem themselves, re-swearing their oath to the Flame they acceptant the suicide mission knowing they had the best chance of succeeding.
For many generations, the Darkhall family have served as Knights of the Silver Flame, forging strong ties within the brotherhood. Raised within the faith from an early age, Darak's training and discipline have instilled within him an unwavering sense of duty and justice. A dark, long forgotten curse besets the Darkhall family, however. Their service and faith acting as atonement for the sins of their ancestors.
Trained in the arts of war by his father, Darak wields his family's ancestral blade "Onyx" into battle. A masterfully made longsword with a black blade, it is said to have been hexed during The Age of Demons, but holds great power for any of the Darkhall bloodline that can unlock its true nature. Inheriting the blade upon the death of his father, Sir Dartleth Darkhall, Onyx now belongs to Darak, as so does, he fears, its curse.

Naesalor Nailo is a high elf who grew up on Aerenal, in Taer Kalindal, the only child of a nobleman who dabbled in arcana, a failed wizard. He always had interest in learning about magic and its secrets. One day while wandering on the island he met a young boy who seemed to be very knowledgable about magic, drew his power from a source that he could not understand. This boy befriended him and showed him things over time, how to contact others who live far away, how to even contact other dimensions and planes of being. As he sunk the hook in deeper and deeper, over time he learned more about him, that he was from Shae Mordai, and he was trying to teach him about necromancy. Naesalor (and all of his family, friends, and village) hated necromancy and the undead with a passion. He felt betrayed that he was being used as an unwitting pawn in the schemes of this warlock, who was much older than he seemed.
Naesalor Nailo was shunned and told to leave Aerenal, to seek atonement for his lapse in judgement and his errant desire to learn necromancy. He eventually joins the Knights of the Silver Flame, seeking to make a name for himself. He carries his family's double bladed scimitar and his long bow, he has learned the skills of hunting and tracking, stalking prey in the woods. He does recall and have knowledge of extra planar magic and the ways of bending the weave of magic in order to travel and contact other planes. He is ready to clear his name and honor, and to be accepted back among his family and his people.
