What is the general area like? What services are there?
Apium had a vision that someone wants vengeance in the area. It might have just been a hallucination from eating those weird berries though... Apium explores the area flying around and doing midair tricks while walking up to people, asking "Want revenge?" gives them his business card, and flies away.
Then he runs out of business cards. He is now looking for someone to make him business cards. He needs his business cards.
Also, Orileo please call me Thalai, if you want you can call me Thal though! :)
General Setting: After a long and difficult journey you have finally arrived. The town of Sel'eman was once a prosperous and powerful place. You may have read of the town itself, but more likely you've heard passing comments about what once stood here, the Coliseum of Conquest. In the ruins of the former city a new settlement has begun to grow. Many who had been lost in the catastrophe have returned and have begun to rebuild. Others, they say, were lost forever somewhere in time...
The partially collapsed ruins of the Coliseum dominate the southern end of Sel'eman. Splintered wood and tattered canvas litter the road outside the Coliseum where shops once peddled wares to spectators and tourists. Further off, near the former town's center, travelers have taken up residence in the abandoned buildings. The forges at the old armorer and weapon smith shops have grown cold, and the tinker's shop is earily quiet. Through the rutted streets, down the hill to the west, the docks sag into the sea. To the northeast a peaceful forest seems unaffected by the affairs of men. A river near the town, to the east, flows into the forest and ends in a brackish bog before it reaches the sea.
Upstream, beside the river, a hub of activity draws the attention of the new and veteran alike. The School of Abjuration and Protection Agency (SAPA), initially founded as a school of protective magic, it has grown, and now teaches the ways of combat in every form.
Inside SAPA, a sense of normalcy remains. Former competitors and new faces have become students and teachers of their craft. A tavern has been setup where people play games and listen to music. A stage stands at one end of the bar with a prep room in the back behind a curtain. Behind the bar a tabaxi with a scarred face and near permanent snarl ruins every drink he makes. Beside him a slightly more competant bartender is covered, every inch, from head to toe with dark green and grey cloth. Rather than prepare a customer's drink though, he seems to be pouring a glass for himself. Near the door a bulletin board is posted with a few ads and notices: ----
Posting 1: Hello all weathered and weary travelers. I thank you for your interest in our humble academy and welcome you to stay and learn all you can!
This though comes at a cost, as many things do, and that is sustainability. I know not what arrangement former owners had for stocking provisions. But since the calamity I doubt those deals or routes still stand. With this in mind I would ask that any who're brave enough venture out into the surrounding wilderness and hunt whatever provisions they can find. Coin will be paid for any donated to the Academy. Or you may keep your spoils for yourself.
The going rates are as follows: Small creatures will trade for 10 gp Medium creatures will trade for 40 gp Large creatures will trade for 120 gp Berries, Roots, and other Medicinal Herbs will trade for 25 gp a pound
It is not advised to go beyond any beast larger than an average beast of burden as such creatures are normally more of a hassle than they'll be worth.
Posting 2: This being a School we offer much more than trial by combat. As of now we are terribly short handed, but we aspire to grow and become a beacon of knowledge and bastion of safety for any on these grounds.
In that spirit if you find yourself tired of the traveled road feel free to become a professor here, teach on any subject you wish. Arcane, Cultural, Histories, Religions of far off lands, any and all knowledge is welcome here and encouraged to be shared.

Overlooking the settlement from SAPA, one can see arenas setup around the town. Various bouts are being fought between competitors in their own pitched battles. The battles can often be seen in person from the sidelines where, in some cases, bleachers have be erected for fans. In all cases the action can be viewed through magical scrying mirrors set up within the school. Students gather around to watch each fight and prepare for their own battles against these same competitors.

In some distant future, he hears about all these flyers going around. Unfortunately, time is pressing for the man at the wheel, so it would have to be investigated another day. Possibly a Tuesday!
The next match will feature any interested level-6 competitors. The match will begin Nevember 24, 1 PM PST. Or sooner, if all level 6 contestants gather before then.
(Thanks for updating. I do have a couple questions - due to Tasha's releasing and the recent errata, aspects of my character are technically aren't usable. Is there a possibility I can modify my character, or create a new one from scratch? If so, what are the rules on content released by Tasha's? If it has been written before, I must have missed it.)
(@PlumPie: You can do either or as far as changes, as the character has advanced yet anyhow for their to be major changes. As for the rest of Tasha's content, there's a few things that still needs to be discussed in regards to at least the optional class stuff. But, regarding the feats, subclasses, and magicitems(if there are any) from there however, those are fine for picking up if you have access to the content.)

(Nope, the issue is that the errata specifically prevented Changelings from achieving +3 Charisma (and by extension from Tasha's flexible ability increases, any stat), which was what my character was originally using.)
(@Bdaddly: It's less that he gave them a +3, and moreso you had the choice of adding your +1 to any stat... including the one that's already getting a +2. >.>;a)

(To specify, the errata added 'other stat' to Changeling's ASI, so now +3 in one stat is no longer possible, which is unfortunately the niche my character was using as a Changeling. With DM permission, I would prefer to change my character's race to something different.)
(OOC: I reread the effect of bladesong and I realized how dumb I was to miss the restriction on two-handed weapons... I went ahead and swapped out some of Fenkas' equipment and updated his description to allow him to actually be able to use bladesong... I just wanted to check that this was okay)

Ok! the flying is mainly just for sitting 10 feet above an opponents head or using the speed to rush to a team mate and heal them

Eldin will lie in wait to ambush Grianne as she leaves the arena after her match.
Stealth: 20
A tired Apium flies behind you, throws a very cheap business card at you, and then flies off again.
Thanks Orileo!

Assume that any errata apply... Did Keith Baker really give changelings a potential +3 in any stat? This is the first I've looked at the errata.)
