Ammus reached over to the horses, silently mourning the loss of life. His hand goes to one of the creature's muzzle, and he begins to recite a Druidic prayer in Draconic. His time with the druid tribe that watched over him those years ago left a vivid impact on him.
<...rest, my friend. I leave you in the hands of Bahumat. May He guide you on your path Beyond>
As he finished, he looked up to his companions. "I'm going to check around. I don't think that the goblins were the only one's to pass through here. Perhaps we can find out who did this."
Ammus looked to the ground, trying to find evidence of who passed through, and when.

“I wouldn’t bet on them changing their ways anytime soon.” Kress said half breathless, the adrenaline settling and the pain of his wound growing in intensity. So that is how it feels when even breathing is painful. He thought retrieving his bow. “At best they’ll think the two who died were weak, stupid or weak and stupid. If we leave them be, they’ll be back at whoever they came from, most likely a tribe for more than a few more goblins, and then it will be a question of time before they get to us in numbers. If you can follow these tracks now without risking some arrows on our backs, we’ll need to end them there.” The rogue them takes his backpack and reach from a rope on it. “If you don’t want to kill them, our best bet is to reach the town and drop them there. They’ll most likely be executed, but you won’t have done more than handing your assailants to the authorities.”He them moved to the closest breathing goblin and tied it, hands moving with unusual speed and precision. “Before ending them, though, we should get them to spell out whatever they know about the ambush.” He moves to the last living goblin, tying it up just like earlier. “Who’s good at getting information? Also, are the horses stinking?”
Daveth turns to Kress, "I do not feel comfortable burdening ourselves with these two all the way to Phandalin. We were be paid to deliver these goods safely and in a timely manner, not to play at sheriff. Anything more than that is going beyond what our employer has paid us to do." Daveth then turns to the others and says, "I will concede to the group's decision on whether or not we trouble ourselves with lugging these goblins to our destination with us. I have made my stance known."
“The horses have been dead for about a day, Kress. I was in such a haste to mention the map case, I neglected to mention the length of time the horses have been dead. The poor creatures are in rigor mortis and slightly bloated, signs indicative of being deceased for around 1 day.” Well there is a piece of information I never thought I’d actually need to use.
[Ammus, you find tracks of roughly a dozen goblins along a narrow, leaf-strewn path leading north into the woods. The track looks regularly used, as though goblins have been coming and going that way for a long time. Half a dozen sets of tracks are newer than others, probably just a day old (which overlaps with Belwar's estimate of how long the horses have been dead) and you are able to find a set of drag marks that follow the goblin tracks northward until they disappear into the trees. The cart and oxen definitely won't fit along the path, which is narrow enough that you probably won't be able to walk abreast along it but will have to travel in a straight line.
Kress, you are currently in control of the two tied-up goblins, who remain unconscious. Will you be leaving them that way? Waking them up to ask them questions? Killing them? Other things?]
All of you, given that the cart won't fit along the track that the goblins appear to have left (along with their two humanoid-sized burdens), what would you like to do?

Telurion made sure to double check the goblins for any valuables and weapons.
"Information is always valuable"- he added, as they discussed the fate of the captives - "So I think we need to wake them, and hope they will understand our language"
After a second look at Kress, Telurion moved closer - "You are wounded - I can help"- he placed his hand on the rogue's shoulder, and some of his wounds were healed.
[ooc]Not sure how many points of damage you have taken Kress, is there a way where I can see that? For now, Telurion will heal you for 3 HP.[/ooc]
Returning to the goblins, he sprinkled them with some water from his waterskin, prodding them for answers - "Who sent you to attack us?" "Do you understand my words?" "If you cooperate, you may survive"
“Then it wasn’t that long ago that Gundren was taken.” He answered to Belwar before turning his eyes to the cleric. “Tell you what, Daveth, I’m not comfortable with that idea either.” He confessed retrieving his daggers. “As you said, we were paid to deliver cargo. That sad letting them go seems to be far worse. Look at the tracks and how Gundren’s belongings. There are more of those.” He said pointing to the now tied prisoners. ”We let them go and a new, larger and stronger ambush will be the first of our problems. Their companions will hunt us to the end of the world.”
The more he thought about it the better it seemed to end the two then and there. After getting some information. Gundren had mentioned working with two brothers, back at the Beached Leviathan. That meant finding the man could very well be their next job, so finding out to were the goblins had took dwarf and bodyguard had its merits.
“Oh, thank you.” He said as Telurion healed him. The wound still pained the pureblood, but now he felt most of his energy returned. “Anyone else is injured?”
Kress started to look at his companions. It was unlikely they would face any other attack further on the Trail, but one could never be too careful when it comes to preparations for battle. That much he knew already and well enough. He stayed in silence as Telurion
OOC: You can see the damage Kress took back at post #58. It was 7 damage and he has a max HP of 9. Thank you for the heal.
There are no good choices here. This whole situation is very confusing. If we let them live, they could ambush us later or inform their brethren of our plans, but killing them now that they are defenseless seems wrong as well, especially after what Daveth said. If we follow the tracks to try and save Uncle Gunni we will have to leave the cart unattended and maybe lose that part of the job, but if we deliver the goods then come back Uncle Gunni and Sildar may be killed….if they aren’t already. I’ll just wait a little to see what they all think…
Daveth will offer, "Mayhap we can leave the cart in the woods, away from the road and cover it in branches? We can set the brake (if there is one) or tie it off to a tree to prevent the oxen from wandering. It is clear that Mr. Rockseeker and Sildar are in trouble and their lives concern me more than a wagonload of goods. I'm confident they'd agree with our decision to do our best to hide the cart in as best a manner we could and focus on possibly saving their lives." If there are no objections, Daveth will lead the cart off the main road and into the woods a ways, preferably behind a hill or large rock, some form of natural cover if there is any. He'll then make an effort to further conceal the cart with sticks and the like. He'll give it an honest effort, but will spend no more than ten minutes on it as he his anxious to follow the trail with drag marks that Belwar mentioned.
“I’ll help you, Daveth.” I will assist in hiding the cart as much as I can. I imagine I’m not much help with my small, weak frame, but I’ll do my best to help camouflage the cart or give advice on where to put things to make it appear more natural. As for the goblins, I will have no part in their questioning. This is the first time I’ve been this uncertain of something, and honestly, it’s incredibly uncomfortable. If there is enough time during the questioning I’ll attempt to use Arcane Recovery, otherwise, I agree we should hurry up. ”We really should expedite this process so we can assist Uncle Gunni as soon as possible.”
[Telurion, the goblins come to and discover themselves tied up. They look up at you. One of them speaks somewhat stunted Common in a slightly gravelly voice.
"The big Klarg sent us! Told us to take ugly beardy and big one back to the cave! And said to make sure nobody followed! So Wagg and Zarm make sure! Don't hurt Wagg! Will answer questionings!"
For those of you moving the cart off the road, you quickly find a spot about forty feet off the path with enough room to tie up the oxen and hide the cart pretty well behind a copse of trees. Nobody walking down the road will be able to see it, although there's really no place you can leave the cart completely out of sight of beings in the forest. You're about half a day out of Phandalin, so there shouldn't be too many people coming this way. Ten minutes later, you've got the cart pretty out of the way and you're ready to do whatever is next.]
Any more questions for the goblins? To save time, a list is fine. And are you planning to follow the path? Do something else?
[ooc]List: Who is big Klarg? Is he a goblin also, like you? Why he wants ugly beardy and big one? How did he know they would be passing here? Are they still alive? How many more goblins in the cave?[/ooc]

I scribble down notes about the information gleaned from the interrogation into my notebook, making a mental reminder to get more ink when we finally reach town. If there are scouting groups around it? Do you even know if the godsdamn tracks goes all the way to there?” Kress questioned, his voice still raised, so every single one of his companions could hear every single of his words. “And how about where to find Grundren? Do know where? Eh?” Which each word his blood seemed to boil. Why? He thought to himself. The pain in the ribcage a remainder of the fight. Is that frustration? “Or by any chance your idea of saving Gundren and Sildar involve a suicide charge in a forest you don’t know the first thing about and that is filled with goblins? Who do you think will save them when we die because the two of you couldn’t sit down and make the right preparations? There was more. Aggressivity? He had fought before, many times in his life, but never before it made him so… Irascible. “We have two individuals right here that can point us to the right direction, exactly, and tell us all of that!” He mentioned expecting that at this point both cleric and wizard would notice their impulsivity. “Question them about that.” The pureblood asked turning to Telurion, taking a deep breath. “About where to find this king, how many are with him.”
