As an arrow flys passed him, Jasper turns to move back 35 feet. With a few feet behind the group, Jasper brings more radiant flames down upon the Jelly. Jasper once again casts Sacred Flame.
The darkness in Rel's eyes deepens as she uses her bonus action to switch her Hex to the surviving ochre jelly, with the tiny black tendril connecting her eyes to the enemy seeming to thrum in anticipation of drinking the strange life force of the ooze. (She now has both Hexblade's Curse for +2 damage and Hex for +1d6 necrotic damage on the surviving ochre jelly).
Once again, a pitch black beam of eldritch force shoots from Rel's earrings through her extended fingertips at the encroaching jelly as she holds her ground, having retreated far enough, it's shadow merging with the shadowy filament already connected to the blob.
The black tendril connecting Rel to the ochre jelly pulses once, an even deeper black, as the ooze's strange life force is hungrily sucked away. The half-drow herself heals5 hp in the backwash of stolen life, though she had not been injured so there is nothing to heal, looking somehow more alive briefly.
The black filament fades as does the darkness in Rel's irises, returning to their usual grey. "Well done everyone. Your tactic worked, Khessa Cabbagefield. The key is spotting the oozes, who are often well-hidden. I did not see them until you all attacked. If we can see them and attack from distance, clearly we can defeat them."
She turns to the dwarves: "Were there more of them? And if so, should we take a short rest or push ahead?" (She asks the latter of the party.)
Khessa smiles at the flawless victory: "Yes Rel Serafin! Our teamwork really paid off! Whether the dwarves have seen others before or not," the blonde warrior-mage thinks aloud "I would still suggest scouting the interior one more time, just to be sure, with the same tactic as before: being preceded by a lighted rope dragged by a magical hand... so, if there were any other jellies and we didn't see them this time, maybe they would attack the rope first. And I would suggest we do it now... we shouldn't need rest, yet... these jellies haven't been able to put us in big trouble".
"It's a pity" Khessa sighs, looking at the shapeless pool into which the closest of the jellies has been reduced "that I have no suitable container to hold a sample of this material... Who knows if studying it, one day, I might understand how it is possible for this thing to live? Who knows if it is thanks to some magical phenomenon..."

Jasper agrees with Khessa to check out the area further for more jelly’s. Jasper remembers seeing the slight lines in the walls just inside the foyer. Walking forward carefully, Jasper investigates the walls where he seen the seams. Looking for a door possibly.

Rel follows, a bit behind Jasper. At Khessa's suggestion of taking a sample of the ochre jelly to study, Rel shudders and shakes her head.
"You should do what you wish, Khessa Cabbagefield - often you seem to have ways of making things work that I am skeptical of. But I do not think you wish to truly learn what animates oozes such as ochre jellies, at least if what we were taught in the Underdark is any indication. Oozes of all types are common down there, feeding on decaying matter and fungi. Ochre Jellies, Black Puddings and worse. And the force that animates them is not an ordinary one but comes from the Abyss. From a demonic demigod sometimes called The Faceless Lord, whose real name is better left unsaid. We learned this as the Faceless Lord was one of the many rival demigods to the demon goddess of spiders worshipped by the Drow. Of course, how these jellies came to be here, where there appears to be so little food for them, I do not know."

“Hey yeah that worked out great!”Echo exclaims, but quickly covers her mouth when her voice actually echos in the cavern. She moves slowly towards the puddles but stops in her tracks to touch the jelly, she makes a half-understanding ‘ohhhhhh’ sound and definitely stands back at Rel’s warning. She instead decides to take a look around the cavern, and looks into the two paths that split off near the entrance of this room (Roll: 14, no modifier for Perception, -1 for Investigation) . She then asks the dwarves: “are more people down this way?”

"I always tend to do what I wish, Rel Serafin" smiles the tall warrior-mage. "I'm Khessa and I'm free as the blowing wind. But that doesn't mean that I'm always right, or that I don't appreciate advice; so thank you, really! I didn't know anything about this 'Faceless Lord'. Sure," jokes the blonde arcane warrior "if my most famous creations were these... things, I too would be ashamed to show my face!"
"But kidding aside," a light of determination and interest lights up in her blue eyes "thank you very much for this information. As you already know, I intend to free my family, kidnapped by drow slavers... And, as you might imagine, I'm also going to take revenge on them. But come to think of it, who is ultimately to blame is that oversized vermin that the drow insist on worshiping like a goddess: Lolth! Knowing that she has enemies... Who knows, in the future, that I am not able to set them against her?"
"But for now," Khessa refocuses attention on the current situation "let's finish securing this place! Who knows, it might even contain something interesting" and with that, she keeps an eye for Echo, Rel and Jasper, in case some trouble arises.

You don't notice anything out of the ordinary, but you do notice that at the base of one of the pillars the stone appears to be worn smoother than the rest of the pillar.
Dazlyn shakes his head. "Nope, the landslide got 'em all we think. You're apt to just find more bodies and maybe more of those nasty jellies!"
Khessa notices Jasper looking for something near a wall, but to her the elf seems not quite focused on what he's doing... Maybe he's still thinking about the battle?
"Do you think there is something particular here?" the blonde arcane warrior approaches and tries to assist him in the search.
(OOC: Khessa uses help action to grant Jasper's roll advantage - so I think Sam1am96 can simply roll again and keep the best result - hopefully the 2nd one, since the 1st was a 1)

Khessa shrugs when neither she nor Jasper can find anything interesting in the room: "It doesn't matter Jasper, maybe we'll find something along the corridor that Echo has started looking at..."
And speaking to everyone: "Come on, let's get preceded by the Mage hand dragging the lighted rope and let's explore down here too. If there are other jellies, we are more ready to face them, than our newfound dwarven friends".
Echo squints as she examines the pillars but has no idea what it could mean, “guys, the base of this pillar looks smoother than the other ones, could it mean something?”, pointing it out to her friends.
She then summons a mage hand back up, and gets ready to drag the rope down the corridor in front of them.

You can tell there is something there, but you're not quite sure what it is or how to operate it.
While you have been exploring the large room with the altar, Dazlyn and Norbus call to you from the foyer.
"We did manage to find one secret door," Dazlyn offers. He nods at what looks like a blank section of wall. "The jellies drove us off before we could go through but look..."
Dazlyn touches the blank wall, and there is a sound of some sort of grinding mechanism as the wall slides open to reveal a dark passageway leading to the south.
((Until Dazlyn opened one of the secret doors, there was no other corridor to be seen, just the main temple chamber with the pillars.))
"Dazlyn, Norbus, great job!" Khessa compliments them, gaping in surprise "I wonder how did you find out that you had to touch right there, to open the passage?" and, now that she knows where to press, she tries to see if there was any detail that could make that point recognizable... both to know how to identify it later, if necessary (to reopen or close the passage), and for her personal curiosity.
"Anyway" the blonde arcane warrior worries for the safety of the two dwarves "I advise you to stay here at the moment... let us adventurers go in first... Even if the two jellies have already been taken care of, we don't know if there are other threats lurking. We will call you if there is no danger, okay? I can well see that you two get along well together," jokes the tall warrior-mage"but in spite of this, I don't think you would like to spend the eternity together in the belly of a possible hungry monster, right?" and she winks at them while smiling.
"Echo..." finally turns to her pale friend the tanned adventurer "Would you mind sending the lighted rope forward? You know that I... with the dark... I don't get along very well" and clenches her fists on the hilt of her greatsword, ready to go after the rope, willing to be the first to meet eventual threats that might arise.
