The four disguised intruders enter the chamber in the southeast corner of the octagon. There is a desk directly across from you with an older human man seated behind it. He wears spectacles and has a large ledger opened in front of him on the desk. He looks at you expectantly. To your left, a yawning female tiefling with violet complexion stands guard. She wears studded leather armor and is armed with a rapier.
"Enough with all this chit-chat," Akyan growls angrily, just before walking into the room. Once inside he glances from the tiefling to the clerk, then back to the tiefling. Noting Jhaartael's gaze, he waits to see if the hypnosis works. If it does, it will make this all a lot easier.
The guard is incapacitated and visibly dazed. Jhaartael as orc maintains this hypnosis, allowing the others to do what they will to the clerk (including tying them both up or whatever. The clerk is NOT hypnotized... But the other three should be able to handle him. As of this moment, nothing has been done which has committed us to an attack... Everyone would just see the two of us facing each other intently.
Akyan, hoping the others have caught on to what's happening, walks up to the clerk with Tamryn and Lyndaran. Once there, he lifts a hand and summons a psychic longsword, pointing it at the man's throat. "Not a word or you're dead. Put your hands where I can see them." He growls in a low tone. He glances at Lyndaran and Tamryn, "Bind and gag him. We can do our job here."
Mina looks to Kyrsa with a bit of worry on her face. "Whoever is coming down those stairs has got to be important if they know about this staircase, so I don't know about you but I don't really feel like facing them. Plus, not sure if we would be able to disguise ourselves, even as elves we stick out pretty well." she whispers to Kyrsa and says that last part with a smile.
"Let's take our chances with the third floor."
She listens, and if she doesn't hear anything nearby, she cracks it up as quietly as possible (using the lever if need be) and sneaks through
"I still have a scroll of disguise self if needed," Kyrsa says, "But, I agree, I would prefer not to fight anyone if it can be helped."
As Mina inspects the third floor as best she can, Kyrsa stands facing the staircase so that if this oncoming individual reaches them before they head out, she is ready for action.

Yeah, I'd say that qualifies as hostile, so let's do initiative.

Mina maneuvers the lever to open the secret door into the main chamber of the third floor. It opens silently, and she emerges into a small space behind the fireplace. The designs on the walls are cleverly done to draw the eyes away from the 18 inch gap between the hearth and the north wall, allowing someone to slip into or out of the hidden space unseen as long as no one is staring directly at them. Peeking around the hearth, Mina notes two guards standing at the entrance to the stairs leading up to the fourth floor.
Kyrsa, if you follow Mina through the door, make a stealth roll.
((Jhaartael will just use his actions to sustain the gaze until you are done with the clerk. Once the clerk is bound, you should be able to gently do the same to the guard - or we can dispatch the guard)).
Lyndaran -21- readies an attack to be triggered if either the clerk or the guard raises the alarm or cries out. (Botting)
Guard- 20- the tiefling female remains transfixed by Jhaartael's bewitchingly orcish good looks.
Akyan - 17- threatens the clerk with his shimmering psychic longsword. The clerk glances at the guard, notices she appears dazed, and slowly raises his hands.
Jhaartael - 16- continues captivating the tiefling with "Blue Steel"
Clerk- 16- Says rather calmly, "I'm not sure what your plan is. The money I've collected so far is in that chest over there, which can only be opened by my supervisor. Feel free to keep that bag of money in your hand though. I'm sure the cartel will not mind in the slightest if you walk out of here with it. They'll never miss it. I am not resisting. Please don't kill me."
(Just to clarify that Lyndaran would had gave the money to Tamryn but, beside the fact that we didn't want to point to the inn if the money was missing I am not sure that is relevant now ;) Also well booted!! I get that he his using his shortbow now, still disguised of course )

Jhaartael grunts and approaches the guard. He stops in front of the tiefling and locks eyes in a gaze. ((WIS save DC 15)).

(Lol, Akyan was barely faster than the clerk. But Jhaartael should be able to take care of the guard before his gaze wares off i think)
