Good idea, take them off the path and hide them behind the ruins bury their clothes that have insignia somewhere away from the bodies along with the dog.
After bodies are hidden and clothes buried further away with the scrap that was once an iron dog, the party jump on the cart or walk/fly alongside and head back to Marl.
You arrive late afternoon and stop some distance hence. You can't see any goblins, but a lizard-like shape slinks among the ruins. Crows and other birds call and fly about. Otherwise it seems still.
Esa is frustrated she wasted her stronger magic on a useless opponent. As the others get organised, she lands on the face of the spellcaster and angrily snarls at him "You were nothing. Nothing but a waste of my magic you pitiful weakling".
Irritated, she instinctively starts to fly to Augustin, before remembering his cloak is bloodied. Instead she heads for Stryke and tries to perch onto his shoulder. Of the party, the shifter is the second most interesting to her.
Do we have a general layout of the town. I guess we try and either take out the roving group first or go straight to the head man's house.
Stryke is surprised to have Esa on his shoulder and does some gentle movements to get used to the weight distribution. He says, I will try to give you warning if I'm going to shape change.
Map of Marl. The white X indicates a badly damaged or destroyed building. The trail the party is coming from is at the bottom of the map, the other trail at the top leads to Albridge.
Stryke is thinking we circle left behind the ridge line to the copse of trees with the damaged building then go through the damaged buildings cross the road and into the large building with the tower subject to enemies positioning. I don't think there is as much cover to the right but it would be doable. Thoughts?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"that'll do me" Grimbald appears seething and does not shift his gaze upon the village and any movement he sees there. There is something primal evident in the tension held in every muscle in his body. 21 Initiative

Esa agrees with this. She offers to scout ahead in this area, as she might be the only one to quietly fit through broken or damaged places and look for enemies without drawing attention.

Is Grimbald sneaky enough to help Esa? Otherwise Stryke could use wild shape and go as a wolf, or giant squirrel
Yep, short rest on the way back is doable. I think only Augustin took a small wound.
Vakiel will walk behind the cart contemplating this connection between the Iron Circle and a deity
Fernie settles the horse, and turns the cart around.
Do you want to do anything with the bodies of the slain?

"Damn, we should have brought a body" Grimbald thinks out loud. Grimbald will scout ahead, unless the owl goes first .
Stryke just realised we could have used the iron circle surcoats to come straight into the village as well, DOH.

dice rolling is not working again
It's weird, saying you were rolling 2d20 with nothing to add, added them together and displayed only the lowest roll.

mine says 4+13=17 and then displays 4
Grimbald has a 5 stealth bonus
So Esa accompanied by either Grimbald or Stryke, or both. Vakiel and Augustin staying with the cart and Fernie, just in sight of the village.
Let's say Esa and Grimbald, and if Stryke wants to come he can, maybe in the shape of something that can climb and scurry easily.
Can we just stash Fernie and the cart behind one of the houses near the track, just so they are off the main track in case
