"Absolutely, although I doubt we will catch up to Quentillius with him rushing off like that", Guardok replies to Rubina and falls in step with her heading towards the exit. Just before they reach the door, he darts ahead to open it. "After you", he says with a flourish of his hand motioning her outside, and then follows behind.
Aurora gives Malvyna stern look, though the slight grin on her lips might give away that she's not really serious. "Really Mal, I have no idea who you might be referring to."
"It's alright. It will be nicer to celebrate the opening without him this time," Rubina says. She then laughs lightly as Guardokrushes ahead. "Why, thank you very much kind sir," she says as he gives his flourish. Rubina emerges outside with Guardokfollowing not far behind.
It isn't hard to find his friends as it seems they are all gathered not far from the door.
The purple-skinned tiefling just chuckles and gives the raven-haired an affectionate kiss on the cheek after which his attention is drawn to the door and the emerging stars. "Bravo, both of you, the show was fabulous." He says with a wide smile, clapping his hands as he talks. "Please let us celebrate you at the Bow's End."
Allowing the door to swing close behind them, Guardok hears Mal and steps out from behind Rubina to look across, smiling broadly at the compliment.
"Thanks, Mal", he says wandering over. "I'm glad you liked the show. And thanks everyone, for coming to see it. It was great knowing I had your support out in the audience", he adds, a touch of purple to his skin as is usual when he blushes.
Rubina glances at Guardok with a smile. "I'd love to join. But not too big of a celebration, there's still more shows. But a quick drink would be perfect."
Aurora joins in to the congratulations, "You did great Rubina! Really a nice job. I had no idea you were such a good actress. And you were amazing too Guardok. Mal, a celebration at the Bow's End is a great idea."
Cadoras eagerly agrees too. "You aren't keeping me away from a celebration." He then glances over at Mei. "Umm, well, unless you didn't want to go of course. But you'll come too, won't you?"
Malvyn smiles and nods in agreement with the praise following his own, then ready to follow along to the tavern. "Anything you want to share about rehearsals and your premiere for the piece I'm writing for the star? How many chances will people have to see you doing this play?"He asks Guardok and Rubina during the walk.
Mae gives Larine a questioning look before answering tentatively. "Umm, yeah, sure, I think that's all right. Though I'm not sure I'm going to drink much besides tea after all those delicious sweets." She giggled a little and smiled back at Larine.
"Oh, I am not sure", Guardok replies to Mal. "I mean, we all worked really hard, the whole cast and everyone behind the scenes. It felt like the premier went well and people enjoyed, right Rubina?", he adds, a bit unsure if that was the sort of thing the tiefling is after. "And the show runs for the weekend, so two more days. Probably not long enough to print anything before it is too late to see it".
Rubina fills in the information on the upcoming performances. "Three more performances. Two tomorrow and the finale the next day." (OOC - I forget if I said something different before. I think that's what I've been thinking.) She then looks to Guardok. "Well, you seemed to answer the rest. The rehearsals went well, and the premier went well in turn. I personally think it's a great play and folks really ought to come see it."
Aurora nods, "I can't agree more. Interesting story and great acting."
Larine stands close to Maeand gives her a nod. "Sure, I wouldn't mind going for a bit. I am kind of full, but I might need something not so sweet. Just a tiny something. Maybe."
The group all starts to head in the direction of the Bow's End as they talk.
The purple-skinned tiefling makes some quick notes in his notepad, nodding along with what is said. "Thanks, yes, will make sure this is with the next edition at least." He says with a friendly smile as he puts the notepad away and comes along to the Bow's End tavern for some food and drink. "So what happens after this, do you have a break in acting or are you starting reahearsals for the next play immediately? Perhaps you even can give the readers of the Star some idea on what is coming up next?" He asks Guardok and Rubina as he walks hand in hand with Aurora.
Mae smiled again at Larine, looking a little relieved, gives her hand a squeeze before letting go to fix her hair a touch but giving Larine a light bump. "To the Bow's End then. For company and something small perhaps."She follows the others staying next to Larine and listening to the other talk.
"We have three more performances, Mal. That's what comes next", Guardok replies with a chuckle. "No-one has mentioned what happens after the run finishes, we are all so focussed on this play", he adds more seriously.
"I hope there is another play to come, though. But a lot goes into it, and it takes time, so not for a while. Possibly even next year. And hopefully not so close to the gymnastics next time. And the Showband performance", he says looking to Rubina to see if she knows more.
Rubina nods at Guardok's answer as he'd responded to Malvyn. "Indeed, I'm certain there will be other plays. But we've not really considered much beyond this one at this point. Guess we'll have to see what's next." Larine remains quiet as she walks alongside Mae. And even Meiand Cadoras are unusually quiet as the follow behind.
Soon the group is at the Bow's End, relatively full tonight, typical for a Friday evening.
"Ah, yes, of course..." Malvyn says, scratching his neck with his free hand. "...I just thought I would give the readers more to look forward to. You should of course focus on this play now."
As the group enters the tavern, the purple-skinned tiefling looks around for a free table, or at least a reasonably free segment of the bar, then hoping to order both food and drink for him and Aurora. "A night off for you then?" He asks the raven-haired performer as he glances over at the stage to see if there is any entertainment.
Mae walks in with Larine, quickly ordering simple drinks for them both and a small plate of appetizer or bread for them to share. "This has been such a busy weekend! And still so much to do soon too!"
Malvyn is eventually able to find a table to accommodate everyone. As you sit, a waitress comes over to get any orders.
Aurora nods. "Yes, I figured with the play to see tonight I would take a break from playing here at the Bow's End." She asks for her usual drink and a small sandwich. It only takes a few moments for all of your items to be delivered.
Larine takes a seat putting Mae between her and the others in the group. Her focus seems to be on Mae. "We don't have to stay long if you need rest." She quickly starts to nibble at some of the items that had been ordered.
The purple-skinned tiefling nods at Aurora, and then he orders a bloody steak and a glass of wine, then turning to Larine. "So you work at the theatre too then. Anything else you do aside from studying." He asks with genuine curiosity, deciding it was about time to get to know Mae's shy friend a bit better.
Larine gives Maea look for a moment before answering Malvyn. "I swim," she says. After a bit of silence, she then adds, "Well, dance sort of." There's another brief pause and she explains. "I suppose it's really called water-dancing."
Guardok walks in to the Bow's End, and waits for Mal to find them a table, before moving over with everyone else. As he sits down, the adrenaline of the performance dissipates, and he starts to feel tired.
Hoping they do coffee, that is what he orders. For once he isn't hungry.
"Anyone got any plans for the rest of the weekend?", he asks after Mae mentions a busy weekend, trying to remain alert to any answers. He knows about the showband, but not sure what else the others have planned. "Apart from catching the show band play, of course".
"Water-dancing..."The purple-skinned tiefling repeats, trying to imagine what that would look like. "...sounds...interesting, will there be a performence that we can see and cheer you on?" He asks with a friendly smile and sincere curiosity.
"No, I mean I don't think I have any plans..." Malvyn answers Guardok, glancing over at Aurora with a playful grin. "...do I?"
