"A apeling and a monster, and I don't think the 2 we've found were the one those 'kids' were talking about.

They spoke of a basement, so unless you want to start ripping up the floorboards, I'd reccomend you help look for a passage, as whatever's holding us here with the mist likely won't let us leave until we spring every trap in this place" Gralwynn retorted.

"It's a child, not an animal that we're after, Gralwynn."

Balmaris knows when he's not welcome somewhere and wanders back upstairs to where the suit of armor attacked them and begins to search the area.

Rynna frowns at the mirror.  As far as she could remember, they hadn't caused that and why would a spectral woman be tugging on it?  Those eyeballs were right disturbing but she inspected the mirror a little more closely anyway.

As Finlan follows Adric and Rynna he'll look for the kids.

Balmaris, there isn't much else to see in the area, though you do see Rynna, Adric, and Finlan in the room where the weird woman came from looking at a mirror.

Rynna, the closer you look at the mirror, the more you realize a few distinguishing things around it. You can actually barely make out some light scuffing on the floor and a nearly imperceptible line in the wainscoting on the wall where it looks like the wall itself would swing open!

Gralwynn starts tearing up floorboards on the ground floor, as she cannot find an immediate entrance.

"Adric, Finlan?  I think the mirror is a secret door.  Look at those scuff marks.  My mama would have me polishing those floor boards on hand and knee, if this was her house," Rynna calls out.  "Maybe one of you can try pulling it open?"

Cracking knuckles and grabbing hold of the frame, you pull back forcefully and the secret panel crashes open, revealing a cobweb filled stairwell leading up, complete with rickety looking wooden steps.

You don't find anything new in the dining room.

Rynna looked at the stairwell a little doubtfully.  They were supposed to be going down and not up... but it was a better option than they'd had before.  

"We going up?  Or should we get the others first?"

"I think we should get the others. Balmaris is good in a fight and I haven't really seen much of the other two since we've entered this house."

"Pity Creak isn't with us.  Barnyard voice it is, then," Rynna chuckled.

Going to the stairwell, Rynna takes a deep breath to call out to the others.

"We found something!  Come help us investigate!"
