Nick disappears and enters slightly further into the gate. Nick gleens two groups. They look like looters or survivors he can't be sure but they turn a corner and disappear! He needs to get closer to really observe them.

Nicknack whispers to Folzi, "Two groups just went that way. Can't tell if they're looters or survivors. What now?"

"So, we got some people running about in there. Can't tell if they're looters, maybe survivors, but they disappeared around a corner... By the way, does anyone know how to sail a boat?"
(OOC: Have I got this right - Father Pat and Hrain are sitting outside the gate, Lyra, Folzi and Nicknack are in the town having a conversation e.g. posts #1757 & #1760)
(Folzi - sorry I missed that and I really shouldn't have)
In response to Folzi's summons that it is ok to move forward, Father Pat says to Hrain "looks like its all clear"and with a gee-up to Sampson he walks the giant horse into the town. In response to Folzi's comment on sailing he says "boats and I have never got on as unlike Sampson here they keep trying to buck me off and into the water!"
"Let's go, no point in trying to pretend we are as quiet as them and a show of force might intimidate an unruly mob." Hrain walks Vihar towards the gate and the rest of the party.
OOC walks as in still mounted but moving slowly.

"No, but I can brew up a very nice tea with my pouches of herbs," Nicknack grumbles as he watches the rest of the group approach.

"I don't care much, as long as they aren't empire lackeys," Folzi whispers back. "Let's find a boat and get off this magic-eating island!"
OOC: is the rest of the party going to follow? Stay behind? Basket weave? Lol
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
OOC: was waiting to see if theres any other ideas, but Lyra would follow the two stealthy gnomes
Folzi backs away from the gate and waves the others forward. "Are we ready to leave yet?!"
OOC Hrain being in plate and mounted on a warhorse is probably going to blow your cover so will stay back unless summoned.
