As another lightning bolt streaks down at him Nelburn hops onto one leg for a moment in an effort to avoid it. Somehow he dodges the bolt but the lightning curls up his planted leg and streaks through his beard. He grumbles once more "Gonna take me weeks to get me beard to stop stickin' out like a bleedin' hedgehog after this..."
OCC: No you're right. It "ate" Karnic then came after you. I'm using Seymour from Little Shop Of Horrors as a size reference lol but it's a homebrewed plant monster.
Flint striking the druid Gen falls limp...dropping the storm. The plant 6 that swallowed Karnic begins to shutter....
Plant 6 seems limp then suddenly vomits up Karnic in a pool of viscera and poisons! Before turning from the party and slinking into the trees.

As Gen drops limp in front of him Nelburn stands over her body and prods her with his foot for a second. After confirming that she is not with it he lets out a sigh and releases his anger at the pointless confrontation. Looking down at her he shakes his head, assuming the worst, and says solemnly: "Ah lass...I'll be assumin' that it's this damned maze that sent you loopier than an imps granny. What a bloody waste..."
With that he moves over to the unconscious form of Nam and attempts to lend him some assistance. medicine:6
"Don't worry guys! I took care of that druid problem" Flint will yell from sixty feet away behind a tree and tipping his kettle helm.. He will then approach the battlefield and make sure everyone is alright before examining Gen. (trying to see if she is dead and also looting her)
Feeling life roll back into his body, Nam walks over to the lifeless Gen. He watches as Flint loots her. Then speaks “poor girl, I know your pain. I too will never see my parents again. That is why my friends are my family” flames burst into his eyes “No Body Hurts My Friends” and flames burst out from his hands and consume the body into a bon Fire.
//a little dramatic but it rolls good with my character. Who’s down for a long rest.//

(OOC: So, when do we apply the level up(s) and would anyone be opposed to taking a short rest at this time?)
Karnic will pull himself together and move off of the puddle of goo stuff. He'll hold the Decanter of Endless Water over his head pointing down at him and say, "Fountain." and take an impromptu 5 gallon shower to wash everything off. Karnic will move about to collect any of his things that fell during the battle and then just find a spot away from the group to sit down and cast Cure Wounds on himself. (Heal: 8)

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
(DM: We were in the middle of our long rest when Gen ran off after the lights?)
Tobias breathes a sigh of relief. As he walks towards Nam, he eyes Karnic giving him the meanest look he can muster at the moment. He pulls a vial (healing potion, 2d4+2) out of his pouch and hands it to the firestarter. "Here. This should help a little until we get a chance to rest properly."
OOC: Nam casts create bonfire ? I get the flavour element but you don't have this cantrip and if your casting you need to roll. As for rest, yes. Everyone technically had a long rest. The attack was at the middle of third watch. Also no one fell but Gen so if Flint wanted to search her he can't because apparently Nam just torched her body.
//let’s say it was fire ball followed by control flames but if she is dead then no attack roll and damage wouldn’t make sense. Just trying to understand. How ever you want to play it. I just felt like being dramatic but if you don’t approve it’s all good.//

OOC: No he said 'bonfire' which is possible but not a spell he had is my point. Using any spell with a 'ranged attack' is going to need a roll. Of course, a save doesn't matter and you don't worry about an AC either but if you roll a Nat 1 man...it's a Nat 1. Burning hands is a 15-foot cone, Fire Bolt is more viable with control flame yeah sure. I like the idea of it all but y'all are in the middle of a jungle fire is fire right?

Nelburn wanders over to Karnic and gives him a slap on the shoulder and attempts to give him some encouragement. "Laddy, tragic as it is an all, that lass needed a good slap. Tis a shame it didn't bring her to her senses but as my grand pappy always used to say, tragedy is tragedy but stupid is still stupid"
Sitting down next to him he glances over in Tobias' direction and then mutters loudly to himself in answer as he pulls up the map for further investigation. "Lets be having a proper look at this blasted thing and find out if it were worth dying over."
"Really?!"Tobias snaps. "Did she really need a 'good slap'?!"The half-orc walks over to the partially digested corpse of Garrett. "Tell that to him! And two more of you were on death's door."He attempts to rub away some of the frustration with the heel of his hand against his forehead. He begins to say more, but just bites his tongue and goes to retrieve his axe.
Flint would just remove his helmet and cover his eyes with the palm of his hand before rubbing the bridge of his nose. A moment later he would continue to loot the bodies of his friends and Gen.
Nelburn looks back at Tobias, completely distracted from his attempt to study the map properly by the tensions amongst the group after their encounter, and understanding his frustration entirely attempts to continue his classic dwarven diplomacy technique to diffuse his companions anger. "Aye, she did. Twas her actions that led us to this point and we coulda been dead twice over this day before it even came to blows over this scrap. We've lost two this day, and believe me lad I'm not for forgetting it so don't be mistaking me for not carin'." Suddenly Nelburns tone changes from his usual gruff and impatient tone to a much quieter and more sombre tone as he continues. "Tis all a bloody waste. Ain't no need for none of it, especially not with this bloody maze trying to kill us anyways. But you and I both know all this death were of her makin' and I won't be sayin' otherwise. Let us at least give him that much respect, he was the one that paid the price."
With that Nelburn simply produces his ale flask and takes a particularly large swig from it before clearly entering into a conversation in his own head as he starts to shake his head and nod to himself.

do you have fire bolt? That ignites things it hits.. you could just essentially repeatedly launch them like a flamethrower lol
Between firebolt and control flames I would say you can make it happen, obviously that is up to the DM though lol.
