Briga surveys the scene briefly with a shake of her head. "Like the constable said, I guess we'd best be getting on. None of these gents look particularly pretty to me. I don't think this has anything to do with Floon, just Watedeep being Waterdeep."
She gives an awkward grin and thumbs up to the city watch. "You guys are the best! I delivered a bounty to your precinct today! Go team! Thanks for keeping the city safe!"
Briga tries to look as inconspicuous as a well armed six foot tall blond woman wearing a bear head cowl and summer wear during the heart of winter can be, leaving Griff and the others to speak with the City Watch.
“Have you ever written anything on Bahamut? Okay so, I hate to speak for everyone but we want to find your partner for you. We can tell they are important to you.”
Griff leans over Tyrus
”And we got ourselves another dragon showing up in the story... right? How fitting.”
"Eleven dragons," replies Tyrus who has been quietly using a small whetstone to sharpen the points of Griffdar's glaive while listening. "And the ten golden ones go a long way to taking the frighteners off about the skewered one."
He then turns to Briga and, while passing back her glaive, says, "I'll need my proper stone to hone the blade, but that's out in the stables, so I'll be grabbing that back from you later to finish the job."
"And you can have this back as well," he adds as he passes her the coin she gave him. "Now that it looks like we're business partners, you won't be needing to pay for such services."
He then looks up at the newcomer and says, "Some sort of image of your friend would be useful. We can't be bringing home all the stray cats out there for you to be checking it's the right one. And those people we have to talk to might know your missing friend by sight, but not by name."
Then, after a pause, he asks, "And there's one thing I don't understand. If you be a wizard, can't you use your familiar spirit, or one of them unseen servants to find them? Why do you need the likes of us?"
[OOC: Tyrus would like to use his Insight to check the man's reaction to his last question; roll: 9 ].

[OOC: Sorry guys, but once again I was asleep while all the action was going on because of the time zone difference; It's Friday morning as I type this. DM, I would still like to get the answer to my question and some sort of image or description of Floon from Volo, but that can happen offline if you like.]
Being unfamiliar with the city, Tyrus follows on behind looking at as many sights of the city as he can in the low light.
However, if we have been given a description of Floon, he will try to ask a guard of the City Watch if anyone matching that description was involved in this incident. [OOC: Persuasion roll, if required: 24.]
Also, having seen this violence, he will now be paying close attention to anyone who might be following the group. [OOC: Perception roll, if required: 6]
A description has been given, there are no images of Floon, however. Giving the description to the guard on duty "None of the people found here match the description of the person you gave, this seemed to be another gang war incident, third one this tenday. Probably best for you to move along," she added, keeping at her post.
He makes eye contact with the three men eyeing them down and he taps the holy symbol of the platinum dragon on his armor as if to say, hey man maybe change your ways. And he keeps walking.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Can I also assume we were given the 10 dragons we were promised by Volo?
Also, being an artisan, Tyrus would have wanted to shake hands with Volo in lieu of a formal contract. As Volo didn't answer his question as to why such a talented wizard needs the help of six strangers, he will be particularly interested in the vibe he gets from the man while shaking his hand. [Insight roll: 19, PM me the result if you like ].
As the group walks along, Tyrus will also try to talk to Arlon, asking, "You seemed to recognise the name of our client back there in the Yawning Portal. I was wondering if you have actually ever met him in person and could vouch safe that he is who he says he is? You being an arcane caster an all, I thought you might."
He then adds quickly, "I know I might be sounding a mite paranoid, but anyone could claim to be this wizard Volo and hand out a few pamphlets. How do we know he actually is who he says he is, and not someone just wanting us out of the way for some reason and rich enough to not worry about giving up 60 gold to do so?"
IC: Volo's intentions seem honest, but he is also known to embellish things, so for all you know you could walk in, find him, and everything would be over. However, you don't notice any deceit. While looking at the bodies, you are able to get a quick glimpse of tattoos similar to the ones that Krentz, the human who started a fight with the half-orc, and his colleagues.. A circle with ten equidistant spokes around. You also see the tip of a flying snake tattoo on one of the arrested men.
Before you are able to get too close, however, the guards say "not any closer, sir, we've got this."
For everyone:
Waterdeep Lore your character would know.
The Xanathar Guild are effectively Waterdeep's thieves guild, run by a crime lord that people call the Xanathar, their main operation is believed to be deep within the lawless Skullport. Over the last few weeks, for reasons unknown to the public, the Xanathar Guild has been fighting with the Zhentarim. The Zhentarim, also known as the Black Network, also has a standing within Waterdeep, and there has been some sort of disagreement between them and the Xanathar Guild.
OOC: If anywhere en route from the Yawning Portal to the Skewered Dragon there is an opportunity do so, Briga would buy a crossbow bolt Case for 1 gp and 20 crossbow bolts for 1 gp, spending 2 of the 20 GP she's currently carrying. If there's no vendors for such items on the way, no big deal, it can wait.
OOC: The best place to get something like that would be the Market in the castle ward to the North, or from the Trades Ward to the East. The Skewered Dragon is in the Dock Ward and to the south, is a 20 minute walk from the Yawning Portal, it would add about 40 minutes to get to the market then the Skewered Dragon, and the shop you could visit on the Trades Ward is a 7 minute walk away, but would add 14 minutes, as you would need to backtrack on both of these routes.
Briga jogs in place briefly, clearly ready to proceed to the Skewered Dragon but willing to let her friends linger at the unrelated crime scene if they wish.
“To the skewered dragon, mates. When we get there I’d like to avoid any scuffles that might await. Even though we rested. I’m still feeling quite rough.”

"Right on, Griff. No reason to beat up seedy tavern thugs for no reason. We don't need to rough up small timers to feel good about ourselves, we know we're badass heroes, so we're awesome enough to go all humble and non-confrontational style."
Briga also continued on towards the Skewered Dragon, staying close to her allies and clearly resisting the urge to outpace some of them with long strides and seemingly inexhaustible energy.
"So who the good talker and who is going to help him in the brawl that ensues ? " Arlon asks only half joking. "I can help in a scrap and put some people to sleep."
"I'm more of a quantity over quality talker, myself, Arlon." Briga whirls and points in succession at each of the other three. "You all seem like naturally charismatic gents, I'm sure this will go fine! And if it doesn't, I am here!"
“As part of my training, it is required that I, and others like me, learn how to talk to people. No one is going to change their ways if I don’t know how to talk to them. So if you’d like, I can take the lead in the talking department.”
