"I guess if yer dog says it is clear.. and it isn't a long tunnel.. I guess we can check it out." Walt would say as he crouches a bit. Bending his needs and arching his back, Walt would let out a muffled groan as he leads the way into the tunnel.
“How many are at the watch post?” Rurik asks politely to the goblin. “Is there any other way around to the stairs or just through here?”
"Many?" Grunt asks with a perplexed look. He starts raising fingers, putting them down, then raising more. "Der be.. this many..." He holds up both hands with one finger on each lifted. "Also big bully with two heads..."
At the far end of the short tunnel the group comes out into a partially collapsed hall. The north end is filled with rubble and a half-buried statue of a headless nude woman.
The southern end of the hall has a tunnel leading away.
Barinthus follows along stoically while keeping an eye out for trouble. As they enter the tunnel he puts away his bow in favor of his sword. “Any enemies spotted by our scout?” He asks.
Ellya casts Mage Hand and puts a hand up like a big stop sign. "This mebbe a sitch'ation whar some sneakin be to the rory. Better those of us with less armor ought to go first, ya think?"
"I've got Dancin' Lights. Might could use tha as a signal."
"I am not great at being stealthy... but if someone wants to scout out ahead, that might not be a bad idea" Walt would say before casting guidance on anyone that offers to scout out the next room. "Take this blessing as weill, It will help ya if you walk into an ambush but it won't last long so be quick and quiet" The old cleric would say with a stern look.
Looking around at the area Barinthus casts message to Walt saying, "areas in dungeonous areas like this that are this clean are either looked after by a caster of sorts or patrolled by some manner of ooze. I have heard that oozes make excellent cleaners for things like sewers and such."
"Secundus, would ya wana send Mache ahead to see if there be trouble? Shadowlight, do ya smell or hear anything suspect?" Rurik asks walking towards the candles (keeping his distance but just trying to get a better look). "These candles look interesting, I could use a few of those for my room back at HQ. Think I could take a few of them without setting any sorta trap off?"

The candles appear to hover in the middle of their small alcoves, wax running down the side of each, but not seeming to burn the candle down at all, and the wax does not drip from the candle to the bottom of the alcove.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ellya whispers: "Well, this is a might strange. Mecks me think of some kind of haunted nursery. I can help scout ahead, but I donna have an Invisibility spell. We oughta move real slow here."

Ellya readies her Short Sword of Warning. [OOC: Don't the Warning labeled weapons have some kind of advantage or bonus vs. being surprised?]
Ellya scans for unusual distortions of light near the floor as well as the ceiling.

Read up on it if it is on your character sheet. It gives you advantage to initiative checks and you cannot be surprised. Anyone within 30 feet of you also cannot be surprised.

He walks towards the statue for a closer look, hoping to find gold or other valuables that may have been placed at the statue.

Rurik doesn't notice anything else... Nor does Shieldbiter who is way off in a temple far from here...

Donkee drapes the morningstar over his shoulder and twirls the mighty hammer Donkey Kong in his hand and excitedly heads into the tunnel.
"Lets go Grunt, maybe we will get to beat up that two headed bully you were talking about. I bet he has some cash in his pocket."

Continuing onward, the group comes to the following after a bit of hiking through rough tunnels...
Candles. The hall is brightly lit by flickering tallow candles that float in shallow niches along the walls. The candles produce heat but no smoke.
Clean Hall. The corridor is conspicuously free of dust and debris.
