I'd say if they have not responded by now we just open up recruitment for another person to fill that role.
Agreed. Sorry everyone! One of our Empire players seems to have lost interest. I'll open this back up as recruiting now and hopefully get that spot refilled quickly.
Hargram Trueblood makes his way from the stern to join the others, "Oh, thank Moradin, land! I hate boats, no offense captain. So once we land, we make for the center and hope for the best, eh?" The red-bearded dwarf makes for the boat the captain mentioned, impatient to get ashore where the ground will hopefully stop moving so much.
After a little bit of rowing, you all make it to the beaches. The flora and fauna of the island is alien to you all, not looking like anything anyone has ever seen before. Oddly shaped flowers and ferns decorate the area and many of them have grown to rather large portions.
Making your way through will be tough, and someone will have to lead the way and blaze a trail. (If someone from either team would like to roll a Survival check. Everyone else can roll a perception check to keep an eye out if youd like.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
EMPIRE
Nymia would keep Lisen flying just above the canopy, occasionally swooping just under for slightly more detail. She's using Lisen as a sort of overhead navigator, switching freely between using his and her own senses, then relaying information - such as the easiest looking path to take, or if any beasties are abound - to Giovanni in the front. Given that, I'm going to roll 2 perception checks - one for Lisen, from overhead (who probably wont be able to hear much going on unless it's very loud) - and one for Nymia, from within the jungle itself. Keen Hearing and Sight grants advantage on Lisen's perception check.
Perceptions: Lisen: 22 Nymia: 19
"With any luck, we shouldn't run into too much trouble out here. Though just in case, non paris per tempes." Nymia clasps her hands together between her Arcane Focus - a brass rod, topped on both ends with a small hourglass. An arcane glow begins to illuminate her eyes, as she is granted momentary glimpses of the probable future, just 1-2 seconds out. She has cast Mage Armor, making her AC 16 for the next 8 hours.
(( Those were some nice rolls. Let familiars never be underestimated in DnD. ))
It's almost effortless how smoothly she takes in all of this information - Her mind's eye switches between brief glimpses of the future, her own vision in the present, and her familiar's senses with a peerless rhythm. She's quietly snapping fingers on her left hand as a mnemonic device - two snaps in quick succession, followed by another snap a few seconds later as her eyes go pure white, followed by two more snaps as she returns to her own vision. The pattern repeats, only briefly breaking to relay information to the de-facto leader. She has most definitely done this, or some kind of similar mission, before.
(You feel confident as you lead your group through the strange and alien jungle. Thanks to a keen mind, knowing what things to look for, youre able to see a few vines that almost seem to move on their own, almost undetectable from the others save for the occasional twitchy movement. As such youre able to avoid them and not worry about becoming plant food.)
Hordak will lead with the survival check. Asking for Divine guidance.

(You feel a bit out of your element with these strange plants surronding you, and as you hack your way through the thick foliage, you think everything is going well. Then theres a sudden puff of what looks to be pollen in the air, as a Mantrap releases this cloud of sweet smelling pollen into the air.)
(Just for Fallen team-Make a Wis saving throw(DC 11) on a failure, you use your movement to get closer to the Mantrap plant)
(Just using the two higher perception rolls from each team, although both of you got 20 total, I'll use DragonDenn perception check just for the fact the familiar also got a high roll.)
As Leon is not good at survival, he will stay with perception.
Leon perception: 20

(Both you and your familiar are able to see somw evidence to there possibly being some other life on this island other than just plants. Bits of tools or clay pots are left in a few scattered locations, leading you to believe there either were or still are other intelligent life here.)
(Keeping an eye out, and thanks to your familiar having such a keen eye, you spot what looks to be rather tall, near giant level height humanoids, much further ahead in the jungle. You only just make them out, before they practically vanish into the dense foliage. While not able to get a good look at them, you did catch enough of a glimpse that they appeared to be two Goliaths, and they could possibly be aware of your presence on the island.)
Leon is about to tell the others about the signs of life on the island when the mantrap is triggered...
Leon wis save: 7
(Can I ask that the fallen and empire be split into different posts going forward? Make sit hard not to read the other team's stuff when they are in the same post...)
Having caught sight of the Goliaths from Lisen's viewpoint, Nymia grasps Giovanni's shoulder."Hang on you two. We're not alone out here. I saw some... goliaths? I'm not one hundred percent sure, but it seemed like they were looking our direction before disappearing into the brush. We're not alone here, and I get the feeling any indigenous giant-kin wont be terribly pleased to see us. Any ideas?"
Hargram will look in the direction Nymia indicates, "I say we keep going, if they're willing to talk, great, if not, well, as they say, 'all trees are felled at the same height'." And he'll heft his warhammer a little.
"I agree, but let us move with the shadows going forward."Gio's hands blur together until they stop at a final formation. He burns two of his ki to cast pass without trace. The shadows nearby envelop the party. Giovanni starts to walk again, his feet no longer leaving a trail. stealth25
Fallen
Hordak nods and boards the lifeboat. "You will have it."
Fallen...
Leon takes a seat in the lifeboat and listens to the reports from Striker as the owl continues to keep watch.
(Who's the third member on the Empire boat? Has this thread already died?)

Letting Hordak take the lead Carthage follows closely, taking advantage of his hearing and sense of smell.
