Hearing his companion spring the trap before falling ungracefully to the floor Rimmy whips around. "Kondo! You alright there?" He helps his friend to his feet. "Can you walk?"
In the brief moments after Tryn tries to calm his mind and listen. Sporadic dripping of water from the cave ceilings. No bleating or draconic being uttered. There doesn’t seem to be anything around.
Veryes will say very quietly "We should be checking for more traps as we go. I don't know who's best suited for that but they should be in the lead" (Veryes will take the lead if she's the best for that. My perception is +3.) Otherwise she's ready to continue on.
As the group makes its way down the winding tunnel of the cave. Stalactites and stalagmites begin to line the ceiling and floors. Weaving around the stone towers, Kondo is about to step forward. But Trynwyn grabs him and pulls him back. Tryn spotted a patch of discolored dirt filling whole width of the tunnel. It looks to cover about 20 feet in length. He gets the sense this may be another trap.
Ha! Sorry I should have just said that that's what I do. I was giving other folks a chance to present a better idea (my chances of disarming it by skill check are not so good) but since none are forthcoming... Veryes ties up her bedroll and tells everyone to stand back a few feet while she throws the bedroll into the middle of the discolored area, keeping a grip on the other end of the rope.
Taking the bed roll and tying it to a rope. Veryes tosses the pack out as it lands and slides across the ground. Nothing happens - it looks as though a certain weight limit needs to trigger the trap.
It takes some time and backtracking but you find a rock about Halfling weight equivalent and begin rolling it back to the edge of the trap. Pushing it forward. The ground doesn’t react in any way under the weight of the stone.

Veryes takes a moment to listen and see if anyone, or anything may have heard that and is coming to check their trap.

Through the ruckus made from the trap and subsequent falling. Veryes isn’t able to hear anything from the surrounding area.
Trynwyn steps a bit away to listen, and try to see through the shadows.

Kondo
"Seems empty. Let's take a closer look." He wanders into the darkened cave, scanning what he can in the torchlight.

Trynwyn will now follow Kondo, hoping to keep him from running into anymore trouble

(( Yeah, Kondo is less than that but loves bumbling through traps etc as he's usually deep in thought and not watching ))
(Trynwyn is on it!)

“That might be a trap. Anyone have anything to... I dunno... throw out there to trigger a trap?”
Paladin - warforged - orange
Veryes looks at the discolored dirt. "We could tie a bedroll to a rope and chuck it out there. That would have some weight to it."

Theory holds scientific merit.

Any rocks around? Big ones?

How big you looking? What’s the weight limit you want to try?
Halfling sized
