Garnet's eyes snap open as the buzzing radiated through her bones the now familar voice chasing the edge of her dreams. She stood sheathed her sword, rolling her shoulders and stretching out as she got to her feet. Normaly she preferred sleeping on the ground to a wooden floor, or bed. Nothing quite like a nice warm rock, she liked to keep the earth beneath her a familiar comfort even in her travels.
She headed down stairs to the room she had seen in her vision, off to the side of the main floor. Feeling a bit like a child listening to the whispers of the clergy echo in the temple for the first time, she hesitaited outside the room for moment. It was said that Calladuran heralded his presence with a huming that could be heard through solid rock before he stepped in to defend those in danger. Glanceing back to the portal In the main room she steeled her nerves and went in. Inside is a oval table and chairs Garnet heads towards the back of the room but doesn't take a seat content to stand for the moment.
Lorell sighs a light sweat breaking out on his forehead "Did anyone hear that just now?" Lorell gets up slowly almost being held down by the uncertainty of it all "I guess we shouldn't keep whoever called out to us waiting" he says as he slowly makes his way towards the room off to the side of the main floor housing an oval-shaped table and some chairs.
Krom shakes his head to clear it up a bit, "I heard it too lad." He slides a gold over to Durnan to pay for his extra drinks, "Would be rude to keep them waiting. And we better try and get those bracers back too." Krom grunts and hops off his seat, almost falling over both from the drink and from sitting for too long, and makes his way to the indicated room; remembering to pick up his warhammer.

Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
[the only one i haven't seen a post for a while is Daemyar. since everyone else is in the room, i will assume Daemyar is there as well - sitting or standing it doesn't matter]
As you enter the small room you look at each other, wondering, waiting. One of the chairs you did not sit in begins to shimmer and blur before your eyes. You’re not sure of how such a thing is possible, but from your angle, it looks as though a shadow seems to turn around towards you, revealing a humanoid figure. Standing, the figure is enormous: just under 9 feet tall, the creature looks like a big human, with long grey hair, clean-shaven, and youthful luminescent skin. Although he wears a long cloak you can tell this…thing…is a lithe, muscular force of nature. He exudes an air of authority and calm as he grins mischievously at you. He gestures to the empty table and chairs, “Please.”
As you take your seats (or not), you blink and the table that he has gestured at is now full of food and a variety of drinks. Adathar's form seems to get smaller as he sits down, his shape adjusting to the human-sized furniture. Even in this smaller form, he is still an imposing, commanding being. Clapping his hands and rubbing them together, he says,"Well, well, well. Here we are at last." Adathar's light, metallic voice rings as a counterpoint to the silence that pervades the inn, confidently slicing through it without falter. "I have gathered you all here because you all have something to prove, and more importantly, you all have something of a 'ripple' about you. My kind can sense these things amongst your kinds, mortals. The mere presence of it isn't unique but how the individual responds to opportunity, is." Adathar sips at a glass of wine that appears out of nowhere. "It just so happens that I have such an opportunity for you. Before I tell you, is there anything you wish to know?" Adathar's mouth turns into a knowing grin as he waits for the adventurers to answer...
Ithelion thinks for a moment, so many questions, and so many mysteries she would ask about, but her largest immediate concern is the benevolence...or malevolence...of the summons. Seeking to gain a wider insight, she asks, "What larger purpose do you seek to fulfil by offering us this opportunity?"

[[ Does she have any sense of what Adathat is? ]]
[Anyone who is proficient in Arcana or History can roll for it. Choose one skill]
Garnet watched Adathar,. She noticed Adathar refered to himself as an immortal, possessed the ability to magically contact such a large group and obviously had no hesitation casting magic so close to the portal when Durnan had warned magic attracted things to it. What stood out was that this Adathar was confident powerful, probably more powerful then he let on. If he was the one who sent all those signs, then this entity had deliberately led them all here for a purpose. He mentioned it was a proposition, but that was a lot of effort for something that could so easily be denied. You all have something to prove...She looked around at the others, all travel worn and most importantly present, already in this room and willingly facing the unknown. Garnet believes she already knows what answer she will give him, and she suspects he knows it to. Ithelion's question jogged Garnet from her thoughts and she grinned at the elf, smart girl.
[[OOC: I'm going to have to re-roll dice because I fudged it up. (I did 2 d20 +4 instead of two separate d20, so the original roll was 34)]]

Lorell watches this being intently, "I'm going to assume it was you who was sending those visions," Lorell asked meekly, continuing on with a curiosity "How much do you know of nature to be able to speak through it?"
Lorell, from the way the being looks and moves, sounds; from it's enormous size and the incredible ease with which it uses magic and distorts reality, you know this is an extremely powerful being from the Upper Planes, or Celestial Planes. Anything more than that being is beyond your current understanding of the cosmos.
Lorell just stares at this being, slowly stepping back after asking his question. Thinking to himself 'Whatever this is, it is far beyond anything he's ever seen before'.

"Oh dear Druid, you've said it many times to yourself. We are all beings of nature and as such, we have an innate connection to it that is only forgotten. However, that connection can be found once again...if one looks for it." Adathar looks to Ithelion and smiles warmly. Ithelion hears the sound of muted chimes and Adathar's voice,Do not be afraid to voice your true question, mortal. These 4 are connected to you now. I am a being of light and good but those terms, as you are aware, can be subjective experiences for some.
"Who am I? Ah, yes. It’s a fair question but one that is difficult to answer." He looks around at each of you. "I am Adathar. Some call me the Wanderer and I suppose it's true. I walk your world in this plane often, it is part of my responsibilities. My kind are immortal beings of light, infused with willing souls and quite of bit of something more...profound. It is a rare thing for one such as me to become directly involved in mortal matters, yet this is one such instance. It is thought that to allow the corruption to continue as it has for the last several years would be an affront to natural order of things. So the purpose I have in mind is to fix a balance that I cannot fix myself," he grits his teeth and clenches his jaw. "That alone is telling of the seriousness of it." Looking towards Daemyar, Adathar's eyes twinkle as he looks perplexed for a moment. Finally, nodding his head, he says "Your kind have called my kind many things: celestial, angel, outsider, solar – I like the last one the best,” Adathar says, grinning.
Daemyar looks at his weapons and realizes they are beyond ineffectual in this. He looks around the room. “You’re saying that there is purpose for... a strange gathering. I have a place in this.”
Daemyar let’s his hat fall back a bit, and pulls his scarf down from his face. A face with a dark red-orange color, and dark eyes, with jagged teeth behind its lips. Red-brown hair cut short. This is a hobgoblin.
Ithelion listens to the creature in fascination, her mind racing. So many questions. Why me? (If not you then who). Why not do it yourself? (I can not solve every small problem that occurs) -- she remembers her mother saying this to a human villager once; funny for the boot to be on the other foot. What is the threat? That's why we are here, but it can wait. You said you cannot fix it -- why is that? Good option. How did you choose us? (Ripples). What are these ripples? Yes, that will do.
Looking up she asks, "You speak of ripples...what are they? Do we each have some kind of connection to this...corruption -- something specific?"
She pauses a moment then, unable to help herself, adds, "And...You said you cannot fix it -- why is that?"
Garnet listened to the Adathar speak considering his words. If this really was a celestial being then her concern lay in his concern. What balance could this small group possibly effect. However before Garnet could open her mouth to ask. The others asked their own questions. Ithelion's question practically mirroring Garnet's own thoughts. So for now she will remain silent and listen to Adathar's answers.
