Karib winces as he moves back to the intersection, his shield once again emitting light. "There's also whatever lies outside the caves. Were there many there when you came in?"
(( @DM: Sorry to ask, but have we found places that would be the sleeping quarters/rooms of Cyanwrath and the other leader yet? It's been such a long time! ))
Should be continue to bring this meat to the cave creature? It might be able to give us information.
Karib looks with distaste at the chunk of meat and then at his unconscious prisoner. Finally, he nods with regret. "It might be wise, at least to avoid a conflict if we try to leave," he says. "Let's try the meat first."
"There's been enough killing today," he says with a final glance at the kobold's body.
OOC: No worries Ereshion. The only thing resembling sleeping quarters that you have seen so far have been the kobold barracks you just found.
Hefting the slab of meat, the party follows Smoke up the stairs, which level out and then descend twisting into the dragon shrine, with its draconic carvings and pitted walls. The rocky grumbling of the roper can be heard faintly before you even enter the shrine, and the large rumbling stalactite is halfway across the chamber when you reach the bottom of the steps.
Stopping just above you, its tendrils extend toward the slab of meat, wrapping around it and lifting it high. Only a handful of bites with its gnashing, stony teeth are required to devour the entire thing. Its eye closes and its tendrils waver in the air as it finishes. The tendrils withdraw closer to the creature's form and it releases a gravelly sigh.
"TeLL mE hOw tO fiND thE rEst oF tHiS meAT,"it says.
Karib nods, "Aye." He then proceeds to directions to the meat locker, repeating the instructions a few times to make sure that they are clear. "Eat this lot, and if necessary we can show you after we are done here," he says.
He then attempts to move on to the only area that they have not visited...
"hMmMM," the roper mumbles in thought. Its eye closes, listening carefully to Karib's directions. Without a word, the creature shifts along the ceiling, rumbling off in the direction that the party has come from. The sound of scraping stone echoes for a while, then recedes to mingle with the rest of the cavern's ambience.
Karib leads the party to a passage in the southwest corner of the shrine chamber. The small passage leads to a chute that rises 30 feet to a hole in the ceiling, currently covered by some soft surface. A rope ladder is fixed at the top of the chute.
OOC: Each character has received 450 XP for dealing with the roper and offering it meat instead of fighting it to the death.
Rogram watches the roper "slide" out of sight, surprise clearly written on the half-dwarf's bearded face. Finally, he looks at Karib and grins. He is looking a little better than he did just moments ago. "I never thought that would work. You're quite persuasive."

Karib sighs with obvious relief. He clearly had not been expecting the roper to leave so easily. "Just lucky, lad. Just lucky." He draws a deep breath, staring after the roper. "After the last few days, I think we might deserve a little, eh?"
Before they head up the ladder he turns back to the corridor, "We should gather our prisoner, I think."
Smoke watches the direction that the roper leaves in to make sure he doesnt come back any time soon, then turns to the group as they move to the chute. Smoke puts his rapier into his beltloop and his claws extend from his hands a bit and he attempts to climb up after Yevele to make sure she is not alone if there is anything at the top of the chute.

Rogram stops with a jerk and suddenly has a strange look on his face that turns into a wide grin. "Findar!" he says in Dwarvish. After visibly preparing himself, he takes a breath and recites a short incantation.
Some of the half-dwarf's wounds magically close. He looks both very pleased with himself and nostalgic at the same time. Turning his shining eyes on Karib, he smiles, "Follow them up. I'll stay here with the prisoner. If you need me, call."

OOC: I'll post another image of everything that's been explored so far. The arrow points to the passage mentioned by DirtyDogP.

Rogram gets to his feet, making an audible exclamation of effort. He sheathes his sword and moves to pick up he back end of the meat again.
Karib grunts then nods to Rogram with a weary smile. "Of we go then," he says as he grabs the other end of the meat, leaving the kobold behind.
Smoke will try to take point and remain stealthy this to scout ahead as he sees his companions injuries.

"Can we just take it to the meat locker?" Rogram asks the others.
"Why don't we just give him directions." Yevele pipes up from about 20 feet behind the rest of the party.

OOC Can we reach the rope ladder from the floor of the chute?
OOC: Yes, the rope ladder goes to the floor, sorry if that was unclear.

Seeing Yevele searching, Karib helps and implores hid god to give her guidance.
(( Add 3 to the first roll, and 2 to the second, and possibly have advantage on the rolls ))
