Barnabus is glad to see Pomenia recover once they get outside.
"Well I don't rightly know lil missy. Gonna be pretty hard to find Ankin and Jasanas at this point. Let's try and find the coaches and wait for them there. You don't happen to know where that is so you? "
She shook her head, "I was too distracted by the city to watch where they went. Maybe we could ask if anyone has seen them. Surely someone would help us, right?" She took another deep breath to focus herself then said, "If that doesn't work there's something else I can try, but I don't know how well it would work."
Ankin saunters out into the open, his loaded sling concealed in his hand, "Hey, Lita. And Scarface", he nods at the half-orc, "What a pleasant coincidence. Just a friendly tip, you probably don't want to do anything too hasty. Not only has that one got powerful friends, but there could quite a bit of gold in it for you. Look at me" - he points at the recently acquired finery he's wearing - "and I wasn't even invited to the party, I just kind of invited myself along. Some folks seem to have more gold than sense, eh? Now don't go spoiling a good thing, there's plenty to go around for all of us."
(Readied action: Using his reaction, he will attack Lita with his sling if either of the two make a hostile move towards Jassana or himself. @DM I won't do the rolls now because it might make a meta difference, but in caseit's needed it'd be 1d20+7 to hit, 1d4+5 damage)
“Plenty enough to make a simple conversation worth your time,” replies Jassana. “Look, you may have heardof a job completed last night involving a certain key. That job had its risks, which were overcome by the skilled person(s) involved. And certainly those person(s) were paid for their efforts last night... but were they paid enough? There’s going to be quite a bit of fallout and long term risk because of that seemingly ’simple’ job last night. Just look, less than 24 hours later and strangers are already showing up, poking around, and making trouble. I assure you, Ankin and I weren’t involved in that bar fight, but it looked like one of your friends has already paid for that key with her life. Now how much do you suppose those anonymous person(s) were paid for that job last night? Whatever it was, it surely wasn’t enough for their lives, or their friends’.” Jassana pauses to let that sink in. Then she spreads her arms with empty hands in a gesture of good will and continues, “Look, I apologize for my earlier trickery, but hey, no harm - no foul. We really do just want to talk. And by the end of this, you can rid yourselves of involvement, sleep easier at night, and be well paid to boot. What do you say?”

Lita reponds " I say stop blabbering and show us the damned gold or this conversation ends now!" Scar face nods.
Ankin looks at the pair with utter scorn, "Oh yes, let me just produce my magic sackof gold", emphasising the words to make it blindingly apparent to even the most crass and stupid half orc that there is a lot of gold at stake. To Jassana he sighs, "The boss said he was just a crass and stupid half orc, but didn't I say looks could be deceiving? Didn't I?".
He continues, "You honestly think I'd be bringing the bling into the docks? Don't reckon so. And I", he jabs himself with his free hand, "ain't the paymaster. But if you're not interested, you're not interested. Enjoy the rest of your short lives being poor. 'Cos there'll be more where that bird-assassin came from, so best you keep watching your backs."
“Sure, no problem.”, says Jassana as calmly as she can manage. She slowly moves one hand and retrieves her coin purse containing 9gp while keeping the other hand extended in a friendly gesture. She then gently tosses the purse to Lita and adds, “Now that’s just For talking and answering some questions. If you decide you’d like a more active role, then there could be considerably more gold in it for you two. Shall we start off with a friendly chat?”

lita takes the sack and gives it a quick feel, she laughs and throws it back "That wouldn't buy a kiss, Horseface!"
"I think I heard Jassana say she was a wizard, if she's with Ankin, I may be able to find them if she's using magic." She looked at Barnabus with a weak smile, "Honestly, I'm not sure how well it would work, going back to where we started might be better."

"gold?' Say lita as she drops herself from ScarFaces grasp dagger still at the ready. "how much gold?"
"Yeah, How Much?" Scar face says, cautiously and a bit confuse by all this, but still keeping one had behind him at waist level.

"What is this "something" that you could do? Our only other option is to go back to where we were dropped and hope the coaches are still there. "
