Aelar smiles. "No worries, Kallista. Were you guys making more healing salve?" Seeing her surprised expression, he explains. "I was at the mission when Barna got back with what your employer had at the time. Not hard to guess what you were helping with."

(That horrible moment when you accidentally close the tab with the comment you were writing using your mobile and now you have to restart :( Ahhhh)
Hyre jolts when he hears Aelar mentioning Barna. "You've met Barna? Did she... I mean, was she..." His face turn slightly pink for a second before he turns away with his back to the others. He genuinely wants to know how Barna's doing after yesterday's confession. Did it leave her as confused as he was? Did it affect her throughout the day? He doesn't know how to ask though - he didn't tell anybody about it yet. "Well, we should probably get going!" His sudden change of tone to a teasing one is sharp and surprising. Hyre isn't usually one to tease others. "If we don't hurry, Ca... Carine? The Satyr might go away and then Lazlo here won't be able to serenade her!" He takes a few steps and then looks back. He doesn't really know the way so someone else should lead.
Varielky
"Carmine- or Carrie, if you're into the whole brevity thing. Whenever you're all ready. Maybe while we're out we can keep an eye peeled for places where we can stay tomorrow night?"

"I'm ready," Aelar says. As they begin walking, he leans close to Hyre. "Barna is fine, my friend. If you want a suggestion, take things at your pace. These kinds of situations are...difficult for you. Go at your own pace."
Here's my paragraph. Your characters would know they Aelar grew up in a happy home until his parents died and then he moved to his cousins where it was hard for him but mostly because the rules were different and he was grieving. His cousins took good care of him. He grew up learning the silver smithing business and learned many of the skills needed for that. He played with you all and while there were the usual squabbles Aelar has no grudges and likes you all.

ooc: No, I don't think so.

(Lazlo suggested they'd go to the Horseshoe to watch Carmine, so that's where they're going, I think)
Hyre stays quiet for a some time while they walk. "Say," he finally speaks, "do you all know what you want to do? What you really want to do? I don't mean right now, I'm talking about the future. We can't just go on living day-to-day with whatever we can manage with forever."
Varielky
Ooc: yeah I think once everyone was cleaned up and ready we were going to head into town.
Fleabag Fleabane -Tabaxi Ranger | Lenny Coggins- Halfling Barbarian | Sid Shatterbuckle- Dwarf Fighter/Rogue| Lazlo - Satyr Bard in Training
"Well," Aelar said thoughtfully, "I want to learn about this warlock business and what my connection to Raia mean. Aside from that I want to rescue our families and friends, if we can, and definitely find a way to stop the Skell. That may seem ambitious but it's what I want." Aelar was nearly growling by the end.
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
"Sure, I also want to rescue the people of Hon and defeat the Skell but... Maybe we should stop daydreaming and focus on the problems ahead of us. The Skell wouldn't be able to do what they did if six children could just beat them that easily. Six homeless children to boot. Even if Raia is with you, she's just one dragon, and the Skell guards had those things they used to attack her that seemed rather deadly."
Varielky
"Wait, what's wrong with daydreaming? It's practically all I do..." Lazlo sighs. "I mean, I would like to learn to play music... beautiful music. I always pictured myself as a bard reciting epics about heroic deeds... but I want to help rescue the people of Hon as well. Maybe not tomorrow- like you say Hyre- we don't even have a place to stay or a real way of earning coin. Yeah, we have to feed ourselves and whatnot... but all of us should, in the back of our minds be thinking about the Skell. From what you all say Guiston seems safe enough- but for how long against that lot? How long do we have? A year? A month? I hope when Kina gets back Guiston will actually do something... but if not, well... maybe you all are the heroes I was meant to write about. Stranger things have happened."

"Well um," Kallista speaks up, "I want to keep helping Mr. Grimbuld. And he gave me this as a bonus," she shows them the money. "We should be good for a week if we're careful with it."

Aelar stares. "Wow...that's a lot of money. What did have to do to make that salve? Give some of your blood or something?"
Tandor the White, Human Life Cleric
"Full of surprises you are." Hyre nudges the other two. "We're being left behind here. At the rate we've made our money it'll take us..." he calculates for a second, "Twelve weeks, I think, for all three of us together to earn this much."
Varielky
"Not Exactly," Kallista says, "it was a bit more... complicated. But tomorrow after we're done working we can see if we can find a good inn. If we double up we could stretch it out longer... if anything it'll give us a safe place to rest until Kina's back."

(Hyre will be pondering about Geoffrey's questions and the others' answers some more so unless someone else initiates a talk, he's done for now.)

Lazlo, who has never seen that much money before- is utterly amazed. "Whoah- that's a lot of jink! Keep your coins close, Kallista- I bet there's pickpockets about in a city like this. If there isn't, there should be. If we stay in an Inn (that sounds strange, doesn't it?)- that'll be the second bed I've slept in. Luxury-these bed things! Not as fragrant as straw but- as soft as a ripe avocado."
ooc: lol- I'm done

"That's a good idea, Kallista," Aelar says. "As soon as we can talk to Leon and Balgrim, I'm sure they will agree."
ooc: Speaking of which, are they officially not available or have the players just not posted in a while.
ooc2: Aelar's done.

((Leon is going to decide if he wants to just have me bot him until he gets back, but has given me permission to play as him until he makes a final decision on whether he's going to continue in the campaign or not. I haven't heard anything from Balgrim in almost 2 weeks now. Leon is with them, and mostly talks about wanting to learn how to fight as quickly as he can... he wants to free the people of Hon. Not knowing what's become of them has been hard on him.))
