With the last of the odd floating crystal creatures destroyed, the party finally has enough breathing room to properly take in their surroundings. The darkness of this sprawling cavern is pushed back by the dim but steady glow swirling within the blue crystals first encountered in the buzzjewel-infested caverns above. Though the illumination is far from bright, with countless shadows concealing corners and crevasses, there is enough light to make out a humanoid-shaped crystalline figure at the far southern end of the cavern. From the party's current position, the details of the figure are unclear, but it seems to be standing still, facing northward.
As combat is over (for now), party members may freely take whatever actions they please in any order.
Having secured the lowest levels of the mine, the party has discovered a cavern filled with softly glowing blue crystals the nature of which remains a mystery, though Caldath caused one to explode spectacularly and several members determined the crystals give off a mixed magical aura at least partially comprised of evocation magic (i.e. magics which manipulate energy or tap an unseen source of power). Several samples of crystals were collected by various characters.
At the far end of the crystal cavern stands a humanoid figure which appears to be made entirely of crystal, though not the same glowing crystals which dot the walls of the cavern. Whether sculpture, construct, or entombed being is unclear. The party may wish to investigate further. The figure has given no indication that is is alive or mobile.
The mine's former owner, Karst Fultane, is still owed 2,000 gp within two months of the mine's reopening - it may be wise to return to Borgstrand and enquire about hiring a crew to begin working the mine once you solve the buzzjewel problem. Unfortunately, this is complicated by the scores of buzzjewels currently separating the party from the mine's exit.
The party did not clear out all (or any) of the buzzjewels, though they did deduce that getting too close to a swarm agitates the pests. The mine cannot be reopened until the bugs are cleared. However, as it was already determined that pearls are toxic to the gem-eaters, the party may use the several pearl and pearl-fragments they have to very slowly but somewhat safely dispose of the swarms. This will take the better part of four days if the whole party helps and may still result in injury or death.

The party may attempt to:
Explore the crystal cavern - each player makes one check of either Arcana (if proficient) or Investigate
Clear the upper levels of the mine - this will cost rations and each player makes one saving throw: choice of Dex, Con, or Wis
Return to Borgstrand - everyone make a stealth check to avoid combat with the buzzjewels
Additionally, the group may choose a combination of these options with each character acting on their own, though the difficulty and time required to complete various tasks may be altered.
Seeing as he took some heavy injuries during the recent battle, Warren will lay his hands on his wounds to heal them.
HP recovered: 5
Following that, he votes to investigate the crystalline figure in the cavern and confirm whether it is possessed of sinister intent before clearing out the buzzjewels.

The groups' perceptive efforts result in the determination that the cavern is filled with MANY clusters of the strange glowing blue crystals and no other apparent threats. The crystalline figure appears to be just that - crystalline. It shows no signs of life, hostile or otherwise.

WHAT WILL THE PARTY DO?
Seeing as he took some heavy injuries during the recent battle, Warren will lay his hands on his wounds to heal them.
HP recovered: 5
Following that, he votes to investigate the crystalline figure in the cavern and confirm whether it is possessed of sinister intent before clearing out the buzzjewels.
Warren follows up with a Cure Light Wounds spell cast on himself.
More HP recovered: 8
If he is personally examining the figure, Warren may make either an Investigation check or, if he is proficient, an Arcana check.
Griffen (as far as I know having missed the session) seems to be hale and hearty.
He would like to investigate the statue and then proceed to clear the buzz jewels from the mine so the party can reopen it.
[OOG: sorry, I need to update his character sheet. He's ok but did take some damage in a fight]
As with Warren, If Griffen is personally examining the figure, he may make either an Investigation check or, if he is proficient, an Arcana check.

Bonus is the same either way. Not proficient
Grigor would like to explore the cavern, and will also make a point of examining the crystal figure.
