Are we going to get an update on when Warlocks can choose older invocations? It's a big part of the class
Still hoping to at least get an "It's in the works" on this, even if they can't quite give us an ETA on it. I have a 14 Celestial Warlock that used multiple of the "Legacy" Invocations that I can't quite port forward through Beyond yet. Just some reassurance that it IS being worked on, instead of just being on the back-burner waiting.
We actually do have one, just not in this thread. GossamerHayley (D&D Beyond Staff) posted in the Humblewood Tales - Bug and Support thread on Jan 28 that they are "working on supporting backward compatibility for Legacy Invocations, but we don't have an ETA." The fact that this still hasn't happened and wasn't properly set up from the beginning is insane, but hey, it's been years since the Artificer was released and the Armorer still isn't set up properly, so it's not a huge surprise either.
Looks like it’s adding Toll the Dead twice, too. 🤔
I wonder if maybe it got selected multiple times, perhaps by editing the character in multiple browsers tabs at once. Can you try unselecting Thaumaturge, wait a few seconds, and then refresh the page? Is the option still selected?
I don't know if this is the right place for this, but I noticed that non-Legacy species from older sources still grant legacy versions of spells; is there a plan to fix this? For example, a Water Genasi from Monsters of the Multiverse gains the Acid Splash cantrip, but it's the Legacy version of Acid Splash and I don't see a way to fix it.
Does anyone know a workaround for this? It's not a huge deal, but I'm starting up a campaign with newer players and I'd love to make things as smooth for them as possible.
You can easily homebrew a new version of the specie in the homebrew tool ans point towards the right spell.
I'm not paying a monthly subscription fee to homebrew Official Content (2024 OR 2014).
You don't need a subscription to make homebrew, not even to duplicate/modify published content.
That was not my point.
I am paying for content. I expect that content to be useable and accurate.
It is.
Only content from the 2024 books use the 2024 stuff. Things from 2014 books use 2014 content. This is accurate.
Genasi were not added to any 2024 book, so as 2014 content they will use 2014 content. If you want to update stuff yourself you're in homebrew territory.

That's actually technically incorrect. Having a version that follows the 2014 rules is important for those who wish to play with the 2014 rules; however, if any part of the campaign group plays by 2024 rules, everything is supposed to be updated to the 2024 version. That includes racial spells. This is a result of poor coding and can be resolved a number of ways. (The cleanest, but probably more difficult to code and problematic for edge cases, would be to include a toggle for 2014 and 2024 to apply across the sheet. Easier would be to have a 2024 copy of any creatures with impacted abilities, such as genasi.)
The 2024 Flame Blade spell says "Using a Higher-Level Spell Slot. The damage increases by 1d6 for each spell slot level above 2." But on the character sheet it's only showing 1d6 for ever 2 levels above 2 like the 2014 Flame Blade.
Been following you, philtastrophe, but your question is confusing me. Are you using a 2024 Flame Blade with a 2024 Character or with a 2014 Character (which defaults to the 2014 spell rules)??? Just wondering before I create a 2024 Druid.

2014 characters don't "default to the 2014 spell rules". There are separate versions of each spell that appears in both rule sets and you need to select the one appropriate to the rules you're playing under.
The issue at hand is that both versions of the spell are using the damage scaling from the 2014 version, when the 2024 one should be different.
Spell Mastery (Wizard 18) selections show up on the Features & Traits tab, but do not show at all as prepared on the Spells tab, much less as At Will spells.

Do we have any news regarding the Warlock Invocations fixes?
That's just crazy that they haven't just added the ones that obviously easy.
At this point I would just be happy with just having the name available in the list even if none of the functionnalities were implemented...
The option is still selected, but we lost the spell. That’s really weird, even from my dev’s perspective!
Reselecting it after made the trick.

Still no ETA on fixing the monk Martial Arts die size?
Its been "temporarily" an issue for half a year now :/

Can confirm that 2024 Flame Blade is only upscaling like 2014 Flame Blade when it should be every level.

Conjure Minor Elementals now does:
4th 2d8
5th 23d8
6th 44d8
7th 65d8
8th 86d8
9th 107d8
Nice.
