This was rushed. None of the new skills are selectable or even available, none of the items are available, and several character builder options don't work, as noted by other posters. Are you working to fix these issues?
One of the people in my group has purchased this supplement and is sharing with the group via our campaigns.
I can access the book text, but none of the character options appear for me in the builder despite being selected on the character home page.
Are you building in the campaign where it's being shared?
If you are, check your entitlements.
I was trying both in and out of a campaign that it was being shared to, but that wasn't working. I just toggled the LoTR content off and on in a campaign that I am sharing into with my friend who bought LoTR and now the content is available but in and out of that campaign for me. Unsure if that action triggered the availablility or if something has been fixed in the background.
Dear D&D Beyond, if you are going to sell books to use with D&D Beyond, then please make sure you have coded D&D beyond to use the new books rules correctly. Half the stuff does not work or isn't included and your "oh just add them using the customisation" is simply not good enough!
I bought this because the main selling feature was that we could use it on D&D beyond. If your programmers aren't capable of adding things to the system then hire better programmers. This is shocking!
I appreciate my above post sounds a little angry but I am very disappointed.
I have a suggestion for you though. Make Skill names customizable and he Description editable. If you did this we can then take say Arcana and rename it to something new and change it's description.
This should be easy to accomplish as you already have this facility built in with the add new skill option.
This not only will allow us to change skill names for different settings but to also replace none-used skills for a setting with the new ones for that setting without having loads of redundant skills dotting the skill section taking up real-estate.
Seems a simple and easy fix and a very useful one to boot!
You're right, this is completely unacceptable. The book is advertised as being integrated with the D&D Beyond toolset, but the effort to do so is minimal at best. This lazy implementation makes no real attempt to support the content, but rather shoehorns a few new classes into the regular 5e character sheet with most of the new content missing, and then simply tells us to deal with any incompatibilities and add the missing content ourselves.
I would never in a million years have bought a digital copy of the book from this site if I knew this. What's the point of buying it here to use with the tools if the tools don't even support the content? I would have been better off just buying a physical copy of the One Ring rulebook and playing the game using a different service. Either adjust the information you have put out on your marketing and store pages to correctly inform potential buyers that the content is minimally supported by D&D Beyond and requires significant manual workarounds to use correctly, or better yet, support the content you are releasing properly.
I see the book was updated on the app and the fix was applied to the linked character sheet in the index. Hopefully the beginning of further updates but thanks to those who fixed this minor issue.
Though I'm as disappointed as the next person about the implementation of the ruleset into Beyond, I will say that by using the various workarounds in the original post and a number of tweaks I implemented myself, I have been able to create a usable 3rd level Ranger Warden for an upcoming campaign. It's certainly not pretty but it's usable in game.
I'm very disappointed with this Lord of the Rings release. It doesn't deliver what we need and still forces us to customize everything. I feel deceived, because even with the claim that there is no way to refund, I and my entire group feel injured, as we stopped using editable forms to trust the d&d beyond platform that we have been using for 6 years. Anarchy black made a great suggestion, which is to at least customize the skills on the original sheet, which is to edit the skills that will not be used such as Arcana, History...
While there is enough usefulness for me to not request a refund, I am disappointed with the LotR 5E character sheets. The blaring issue is that the character sheet and functionality doesn’t reflect the system skills. I will have to manually do this.
Someone in my gaming group bought this supplement and shared it with us. However, none of the character classes are showing up on the character builder. Is this normal?

Are you building in the campaign where the sharing is done?
Do you have the appropriate publisher toggled on in the builder?

Well, they haven't even acknowledged my own bug reports, so ... I rather doubt it. Yet another reason to regret my purchase. :/
I will not be an Early Adopter of books on Beyond, again.

Same here, I purchased the book yesterday and still got no access to it. The order ID is GPA.3394-5612-5799-08112.
Another quality product launch from this site. Amazing job!

I made a report two days ago with the same issue everyone else is having. Are there any updates? Has the issue been resolved for everyone / anyone?
Same issue with the Treasure Hunter. Only Stealth and Perception are available. The new Skills are also linked but not selectable.

Thanks, Toranas. I stand corrected, having misread that section (which also means the messenger I’ve been playing for some time is overdue for one).

2nd/6th level craft/virtue features are bugged. I mean this is just sad dndbeyond.
Until 100% of this material is usable without error on D&D Beyond, specifically the character sheet, I will feel like I have thrown away $32
