Calling everyone involved "scamming lowlifes." as if this is some kind of rug pull is pretty nasty not gonna lie, it's not like they've gone radio silent on all of their socials and shut down their discord or something, hell I don't even think 2024 content was promised in the product buy page, it just wasn't not promised and out side of that all of the other content provided work perfectly fine (I think I didn't check them all).
Soooo amy update on the subclasses working with 2024? ...
Let's remember that this book was published in March, a full month before the 2024 SRD (SRD 5.2) was made available. Considering books compatible with/referencing 2024 rules could not even be published before SRD 5.2 was released, it's rather disingenuous to expect the book to be updated to 2024 rules, let alone for it to happen immediately.
The book is 2014 rules. It, like any other 2014 content, works fine with 2024 rules with only minor adjustments. The 2024 conversion will come when it comes.
Notes: Removed inflammatory part of another users message that was quoted
Many-Masked Performance does not have an effect duration:
“Over the course of 1 minute, you can engage in a captivating performance and attempt to cause nearby creatures to become charmed, frightened, or fall unconscious (your choice). Choose a number of creatures up to your bard level within 60 feet of you that can hear you. When the performance ends, each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be subjected to the chosen condition.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.”
Apart from the ongoing discontent about character creation working with 2014/2024 classes, is the book as released on Beyond complete, or at least as complete as the PDF preorders? Uncertain because the setting background description goes into detail on the existence of vehicles such as kei (small pickup) trucks existing in the setting, and even advises the reader to go look in Adventuring Gear for details, but the Adventuring Gear section cuts off after the entry for "Hook Sling", so we never actually get the kei truck stats. Just curious as to whether this is an issue with porting it onto Beyond, or with 1985 Games not actually publishing that part of their book in either version.
Was just putting the token for the tiny witches adventure in the dnd beyond but I don't think It is scaled correctly as the player tokens on the first two maps, the Cellar and the workshop are the same size as the giant tokens. Could this be fixed?
Public Mod Note
(spamandtuna):
Working as intended, per instructions from 1985 Games
The Cellar and Workshop maps seem to be working correctly for me. The bottom left corner in each of those maps says "1 square = 5 feet". If I add a Medium creature, they fill that 1 square / 5 feet as expected.
If I'm missing something, maybe you could share an image to clarify?
I believe the confusion is from the fact that the adventure is meant to be played by 'Tiny' sized characters. Upon entering the house, a trap shrinks all players to Tiny Size.
The maps are indeed scaled correctly, and match the PDF. However, I don't think the Maps app currently allows you to scale a character token, does it? They'd need to add a custom token sized down to Tiny to work with it.
I think the easiest way to manage this will be to download the images for the Cellar and Workshop. Then import them as a custom map (Open Map Browser > My Uploaded Maps > Upload Map). This will allow you to adjust the scale of the map such that a Medium sized creature appears as a Tiny creature (1/4 of a square). Then every existing token you add will simply work as-is.

“Over the course of 1 minute"
There it is.
Sounds more like a cast time. The effect takes place after.
The source book also seems to be missing that info though.
Edit : it's already a reported issue in 1985 games discord.

It should match the physical book / PDF sold directly by 1985 games, yeah.

So, there's no Adventuring Gear after Hook Slings in the PDF, either? No stats provided for kei trucks, motorbikes, scooters?
I’d assume so, but I don’t actually have the PDF to verify. If you think something is missing, I’d recommend asking 1985 Games directly.

Soda Slime's "Sticky Nature" ability has fallen victim to a search and replace. It's linking to the Nature skill instead of simply being bold.
