NEW MAPS
The book features 1 new map prepared with 2 quickplay encounters.
NEW BACKGROUNDS
The book features 2 new backgrounds. These are both supported.
NEW FEATS
The book features 2 feats. These are both supported.
NEW MAGIC ITEMS
The book features 2 magic items. These magic items are mostly supported with the following exception:
Actions on Magic Items. Some of the new magic items grant specific actions as part of their magic. D&D Beyond doesn’t currently support the ability to attach actions directly to magic items; in the case that an item’s functionality is otherwise text-only, we recommend creating Custom Actions on the character sheet to represent those items.
NEW MONSTERS
The book features 8 monsters. These are all supported.
NEW SPECIES
The book features 2 species. These are both supported.
Nov 19, 2025 Update: The Lorwyn Changeling has received an errata. The following changes have been made:
The Delightful Imitator trait has been updated to:
You have proficiency in the Deception or Performance skill.
The Unpredictable Movement trait has been updated to:
Whenever you roll Initiative, you can immediately move up to half your Speed, provided you don't have Disadvantage on the Initiative roll.
These changes have been updated across the site, character tool, and on mobile.
ADAPTED SPECIES
This book contains adapted species: or species that utilize an existing species’ traits. Each of these species has a trait called "Lorwyn-Shadowmoor Origin", which determines whether your character is from Lorwyn or Shadowmoor. We’ve created each of them as separate entities in the character builder, where they are mostly the same as the original species, with the following changes:
Boggart. This adapted species uses the Goblin species from Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse (MotM) with no other changes.
Lorywn-Shadowmoor Elf. This adapted species uses the Elf species traits from the Player's Handbook (PHB). Instead of the Elven Lineages present in the PHB, you’re able to choose between being a Lorwyn Elf or a Shadowmoor Elf.
Faerie. This adapted species uses the Fairy species from MotM. If you select the Shadowmoor origin option, you gain Darkvision with a range of 120 feet. In addition, Fairy Magic has been renamed to Faerie Magic, and the trait has been updated to use the current versions of the granted spells.
Flamekin. This adapted species uses the Fire Genasi species from MotM. Reach to the Blaze has been updated to use the current versions of the granted spells.
Kithkin. This adapted species uses the Halfling species traits from the PHB. If you select the Shadowmoor origin option, you gain Darkvision with a range of 120 feet. In addition, Halfling Nimbleness has been renamed to Kithkin Nimbleness.
Hello, there is an issue with the Lorywn Changeling. The feature says that you can dash as a reaction when you roll initative.... This does not work.
If it was intended to allow you to move as part of rolling initiative by spending your reaction then it needs to say this because that is not what the dash action does. The dash action increases your speed for the turn (There would be no turn and you are unable to move outside of your turn)
If it was intended that you can dash on your turns in combat by dashing as a reaction then it is missing a rider to say "for the rest of combat" because the Changling would gain the ability in the first combat and have it permanently.

Shouldn't the Legendary Bundle discount apply to these three digital titles? I went to purchase them and the marketplace isn't applying my 15% discount to Lorwyn: First Light, Astarion’s Book of Hungers, or Netheril's Fall, is that a mistake?
The new species, the Lorwyn Changeling and the Rimekin, do not have any language options.
Language isn't determined by your species—you get two languages independent of species, plus any bonus languages based on background, feats, etc
In the character builder, the default languages for PCs, the ones independent of background and feats, are found in the Species tab. This is where you select the two bonus languages beyond Common.
Those default languages are present for all PCs except the two new species in this supplement. When creating a PC using the two new species you end up with a character with no languages.
Also, the Unpredictable Movement on Lorwyn Changeling is worded weirdly to the point of making it useless, and at least 1-2 species are missing their height, size, & other standard data points.
It doesn't breed confidence, to say the least.

Ah, my bad, I thought you meant in the species description within the supplement
The Lorwyn Elf ancestry doesn't load the correct spells into the character sheet. Detect Magic and Misty Step are provided instead of Command, Silence Shadowmoor works correctly so please fix

ModeratorWhen building a character on D&D Beyond, those languages should indeed be presented as part of the species.

Does the Lorwyn Changeling need a reminder about shapechanging rules? Because RAW, it sounds like you can assume ANY beast's form.

I second this, everything else with them is fine, even the druid spell, but their leveled spells are the ones of High-Elf
